Thermal Analysis for Conformal Cooling Channel
Materials Today: Proceedings, 2017Abstract Design of cooling channel is one of limitation in injection moldingprocess. The molding process involves in the phases like filling, cooling and ejection. Cooling phase is one of the critical phase to get quality and cycle time of part.

Conformational Geometries and Conformation-Dependent Photophysics of Jet-Cooled 1,3-Diphenylpropane
The Journal of Physical Chemistry A, 2000Rotationally resolved laser-induced fluorescence excitation spectra of the S1 ← S0 transitions have been recorded for various conformers of 1,3-diphenylpropane (DPP) in supersonic free expansion. Ab initio simulation of the rotational band contours, based on the S0 rotational constants from 6-31G(d) MP2 and transition moments from 6-31G(d) CI singles ...

Modeling of cooling times for molds with conformal cooling channels and heat sinks
ICALEO 2000: Proceedings of the Laser Applications in the Automotive Industry Conference, 2000In injection molding and die casting, cycle time of the process is dominated by the heat transfer during the solidification and cooling of the part. Molds with conformal cooling and heat sinks with high thermal conductivity can reduce the cycle time considerably.

Optimal Conformal Cooling Channels in 3D Printed Dies for Plastic Injection Molding
Reducing the cycle time in plastic injection molding is of significant importance to industry. One approach that has been proposed is to use conformal cooling channels, made possible by 3D printing which allows for greater geometric freedom.

Design of conformal cooling channels for an automotive part
International Journal of Automotive Technology, 2009The cooling system plays a crucial role in determining the productivity and quality of an injection molding process. With the current growth of Solid Freeform Fabrication (SFF) techniques, mold designers have been striving for not only improvement in cooling system performance but also for a method to do so automatically.

Design and optimization of conformal cooling channels for injection molding: a review
The International Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology, 2020The recent developments in the additive manufacturing make easier and affordable the fabrication of conformal cooling channels (CCCs) compared with the traditional machining techniques. Conformal cooling channels (CCCs) achieve better cooling performances than the conventional (straight-drilled) channels during the injection molding process since they ...

Conformal Cooling of Aluminium Flat Fins Using a 3D Printed Water-Cooled Mould
2021Additive manufacturing (AM) of high pressure die casting (HPDC) tools for casting complex aluminium parts provides more versatility in achieving conformal cooling. Nevertheless, the high thermal fatigue of the tools near the casting cavity restricts the use of small coolant pipe diameters or the location of the pipes closer to the cast cavity ...

Visibility-based conformal cooling channel generation for rapid tooling
Computer-Aided Design, 2011In plastic injection moulding process, cooling channel design is an essential factor that affects the quality of the moulded parts and the productivity of the process. Non-uniform cooling or long cooling cycle time would result if a poorly designed cooling channel is adopted. Due to limitations of traditional machining processes, the cooling channel is
