Metal Additive Manufacturing of Plastic Injection Molds with Conformal Cooling Channels. [PDF]
Conformal cooling channels (CCCs) are widely used in the plastic injection molding process to improve the product quality and operational performance. Tooling that incorporates CCCs can be fabricated through metal additive manufacturing (MAM). The present work focuses on the MAM of a plastic injection mold insert with different CCC types that are ...

Improving Cooling Performance of Injection Molding Tool with Conformal Cooling Channel by Adding Hybrid Fillers. [PDF]
Silicone rubber mold (SRM) is capable of reducing the cost and time in a new product development phase and has many applications for the pilot runs. Unfortunately, the SRM after injection molding has a poor cooling efficiency due to its low thermal conductivity.

Variable Radius Conformal Cooling Channel for Rapid Tool
The cooling system of a plastic injection mould is important as it affects the quality and productivity of the polymeric components or assemblies. Contemporary cooling channel design is confined to simple configurations of straight-drilled coolant passageway around the mould insert.

On the Use of Conformal Cooling in High-Pressure Die-Casting and Semisolid Casting
Today, tool life in high pressure die casting (HPDC) is of growing interest. A common agreement is that die life is primarily decided by the thermal load and temperature gradients in the die materials.

Newton’s Law of Cooling with Generalized Conformable Derivatives [PDF]
In this communication, using a generalized conformable differential operator, a simulation of the well-known Newton’s law of cooling is made. In particular, we use the conformable t1−α, e(1−α)t and non-conformable t−α kernels. The analytical solution for each kernel is given in terms of the conformable order derivative 0<α≤1.

Conformational Cooling Dynamics in Matrix-Isolated 1,3-Butanediol [PDF]
The complete conformational space of monomeric 1,3-butanediol has been characterized theoretically, and 73 unique stable conformers were found at the MP2/6-311++G(d,p) level. These were classified into nine families whose members share the same heavy atom backbone configurations and differ in the hydrogen atom orientations.
