Conformal matrix factorization based recommender system
Information Sciences, 2018Abstract Recommender systems can be viewed as prediction systems wherein one can predict the rating a user would give to a particular item. Typically, items having the highest predicted ratings will be recommended to the user. Matrix Factorization techniques are the most widely used methods in predicting the missing ratings of a user-item rating ...

Conformational states of Xenopus transcription factor IIIA
Biochemistry, 1989The conformation of Xenopus transcription factor IIIA (TFIIIA) free in solution, bound to 5S RNA in the 7S particle, depleted of zinc, or bound to plasmid DNA was analyzed by (1) trypsin digestion and electrophoretic analysis of proteolytic fragments or (2) measurement of the fluorescence of TFIIIA mildly derivatized with N-[[(iodoacetyl)amino]ethyl]-5-

THE CONFORMAL FACTOR AND THE COSMOLOGICAL CONSTANT
International Journal of Modern Physics A, 1990The issue of the conformal factor in quantum gravity is examined for Lorentzian signature spacetimes. In Euclidean signature, the “wrong” sign of the conformal action makes the path integral undefined, but in Lorentzian signature this sign is tied to the instability of gravity and once this is accounted for the path integral should be well-defined. In

The ability of the benzoylurea core to mimic alpha helices relies on its ability to form an intramolecular hydrogen bond. The conformational behavior of benzoylureas is investigated in depth in this study via the use of NMR, IR, X-ray, and computational analysis.

Abstract Modified cyclodextrins (modified CDs), which have an appending moiety, form various conformations depending on its moiety. In this study we examined the factors that determine the conformation of modified CDs with p-dimethylaminobenzoyl and p-nitrobenzoyl moiety as a pendant (DMAB-β-CD and NB-β-CD, respectively) using computational chemistry ...

Conformational factors in the complexation of tetraoxacrown ethers
Theoretical and Experimental Chemistry, 1990The conformational changes in tetraoxacrown ethers (ring size 12–16) during hypothetical reaction with alkali-metal ions were investigated by the method of penalty functions. An analysis is made of the variation of the selectivity curves of crown ethers, calculated by the method of atom—atom potential functions, with variation in the length of the ...

REMARKS ON THE CONFORMAL-FACTOR PROBLEM IN GRAVITY
International Journal of Modern Physics A, 1991It is shown that the kinetic energy of the quantized conformal field is positive in the case of induced classical gravity as well as in that of quantum gravity.

Molecular Conformation and Crystal Lattice Energy Factors in Conformational Polymorphs
2007In crystal structures of flexible molecules the total energy is a summation of the molecular conformer and crystal lattice energy contribution. These two energy factors are of comparable magnitude in organic solids because bond torsions and intermolecular interactions have similar energies, worth a few kcal mol-1.
