Extended Conformal Symmetry [PDF]

open access: green, 2000
We show that the grading of fields by conformal weight, when built into the initial group symmetry, provides a discrete, non-central conformal extension of any group containing dilatations.

Conformal symmetry superalgebras [PDF]

open access: yesClassical and Quantum Gravity, 2013
We show how the rigid conformal supersymmetries associated with a certain class of pseudo-Riemannian spin manifolds define a Lie superalgebra. The even part of this superalgebra contains conformal isometries and constant R-symmetries.

Conformal Symmetry and Unification [PDF]

open access: yesAIP Conference Proceedings, 1998
The Weyl-Weinberg-Salam model is presented. It is based on the local conformal gauge symmetry. The model identifies the Higgs scalar field in SM with the Penrose-Chernikov-Tagirov scalar field of the conformal theory of gravity.

The Uses of Conformal Symmetry in QCD [PDF]

open access: yesProgress in Particle and Nuclear Physics, 2003
The Lagrangian of Quantum Chromodynamics is invariant under conformal transformations. Although this symmetry is broken by quantum corrections, it has important consequences for strong interactions at short distances and provides one with powerful tools ...

Conformal Symmetry as a Template for QCD [PDF]

open access: greenContinuous Advances in QCD 2004, 2004
Conformal symmetry is broken in physical QCD; nevertheless, one can use conformal symmetry as a template, systematically correcting for its nonzero $ $ function as well as higher-twist effects. For example, commensurate scale relations which relate QCD observables to each other, such as the generalized Crewther relation, have no renormalization scale ...

Dendrites and conformal symmetry [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Progress toward characterization of structural and biophysical properties of neural dendrites together with recent findings emphasizing their role in neural computation, has propelled growing interest in refining existing theoretical models of electrical

Reduced conformal symmetry [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2021
Abstract We construct field theories in 2 + 1 dimensions with multiple conformal symmetries acting on only one of the spatial directions. These can be considered a conformal extension to “subsystem scale invariances”, borrowing the language often used for fractons.

Little Conformal Symmetry [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2016
We explore a new class of natural models which ensure the one-loop divergences in the Higgs mass are cancelled. The top-partners that cancel the top loop are new gauge bosons, and the symmetry relation that ensures the cancellation arises at an infrared fixed point.

Disforming to conformal symmetry

open access: yesJournal of Cosmology and Astroparticle Physics, 2022
Abstract We analyse the dynamical properties of disformally transformed theories of gravity. We show that disformal transformation typically introduces novel degrees of freedom, equivalent to the mimetic dark matter, which possesses a Weyl-invariant formulation.
