STATIC CYLINDRICAL SYMMETRY AND CONFORMAL FLATNESS [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Modern Physics D, 2005
We present the whole set of equations with regularity and matching conditions required for the description of physically meaningful static cylindrically symmmetric distributions of matter, smoothly matched to Levi-Civita vacuum spacetime. It is shown that the conformally flat solution with equal principal stresses represents an incompressible fluid ...

Spontaneous Symmetry Breaking in 5D Conformally Invariant Gravity

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, 2016
We explore the possibility of the spontaneous symmetry breaking in 5D conformally invariant gravity, whose action consists of a scalar field nonminimally coupled to the curvature with its potential. Performing dimensional reduction via ADM decomposition,

Field theories with Conformal Carrollian symmetry [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
Abstract Conformal Carrollian groups are known to be isomorphic to Bondi-Metzner-Sachs (BMS) groups that arise as the asymptotic symmetries at the null boundary of Minkowski spacetime. The Carrollian algebra is obtained from the Poincare algebra by taking the speed of light to zero, and the conformal version similarly follows.

The shadow formalism of Galilean CFT2

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
In this work, we develop the shadow formalism for two-dimensional Galilean conformal field theory (GCFT2). We define the principal series representation of Galilean conformal symmetry group and find its relation with the Wigner classification, then we ...

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

slˆ(n)N WZW conformal blocks from SU(N) instanton partition functions on C2/Zn

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2020
Generalizations of the AGT correspondence between 4D N=2 SU(2) supersymmetric gauge theory on C2 with Ω-deformation and 2D Liouville conformal field theory include a correspondence between 4D N=2 SU(N) supersymmetric gauge theories, N=2,3,…, on C2/Zn, n ...

Anomalous Ward identities for on-shell amplitudes at the conformal fixed point

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
Conformal symmetry underlies many massless quantum field theories, but little is known about the consequences of this powerful symmetry for on-shell scattering amplitudes.

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve
