Conformal symmetry breaking in holographic QCD [PDF]
In this paper, we investigate a simple holographic model which describes the conformal symmetry breaking at zero temperature. The model is implemented in the context of effective holographic models for QCD described by the Einstein-dilaton equations. The

Anomaly-free scale symmetry and gravity
In this Letter, we address the question of whether the conformal invariance can be considered as a global symmetry of a theory of fundamental interactions.

Conformal correlators of mixed-symmetry tensors [PDF]
We generalize the embedding formalism for conformal field theories to the case of general operators with mixed symmetry. The index-free notation encoding symmetric tensors as polynomials in an auxiliary polarization vector is extended to mixed-symmetry ...

Spontaneous Symmetry Breaking in 5D Conformally Invariant Gravity
We explore the possibility of the spontaneous symmetry breaking in 5D conformally invariant gravity, whose action consists of a scalar field nonminimally coupled to the curvature with its potential. Performing dimensional reduction via ADM decomposition,

Dark energy from conformal symmetry breaking
The breakdown of conformal symmetry in a conformally invariant scalar-tensor gravitational model is revisited in the cosmological context. Although the old scenario of conformal symmetry breaking in cosmology containing scalar field has already been used

Generalized anisotropic models for conformal symmetry
We find a new family of exact solutions to the Einstein system of equations with an anisotropic fluid distribution for a spherically symmetric spacetime containing a conformal Killing vector.

Hidden conformal symmetry for the accelerating Kerr black holes [PDF]
According to the Kerr/CFT correspondence, some aspects of extremal and non-extremal Kerr black holes could be explained by using a 2D CFT. This paper is devoted to show how Kerr/CFT correspondence can work for the slowly accelerating Kerr black holes, in

Abstract Background The dose‐averaged linear energy transfer (LETD) in proton therapy (PT) has in pre‐clinical studies been linked to the relative biological effectiveness (RBE) of protons. Until recently, the most common PT delivery method in prostate cancer has been double‐scattered PT, with LETD only available through dedicated Monte Carlo (MC ...

Conformal symmetry of an extended Schrodinger equation and its relativistic origin [PDF]
In this paper two things are done. We first prove that an arbitrary power $p$ of the Schrodinger Lagrangian in arbitrary dimension always enjoys the non-relativistic conformal symmetry. The implementation of this symmetry on the dynamical field involves a phase term as well as a conformal factor that depends on the dimension and on the exponent.
