Cytokine Pathways Driving Diverse Tissue Pathologies in Rheumatoid Arthritis

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, EarlyView.
Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a complex systemic disorder characterized primarily by articular inflammation and destruction with associated functional loss and reduced quality of life. RA is also associated with extra‐articular disease, such as that of the lung, with potentially devastating clinical consequences. The critical importance of comorbidities,

Patient Specific Congestive Heart Failure Detection From Raw ECG signal

open access: yes, 2016
In this study; in order to diagnose congestive heart failure (CHF) patients, non-linear second-order difference plot (SODP) obtained from raw 256 Hz sampled frequency and windowed record with different time of ECG records are used.

MicroRNA 210 as a biomarker for congestive heart failure.

open access: yesBiological and Pharmaceutical Bulletin, 2013
MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are endogenous small RNAs that are 18-23 nucleotides long. Recently, plasma miRNAs were reported to be sensitive and specific biomarkers of various pathological conditions. In the present study, we focused on miR-210, which is known to

Glucagon‐Like Peptide‐1 Receptor Agonists, Sodium‐Glucose Cotransporter‐2 Inhibitors, and Risk of Autoimmune Rheumatic Diseases

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, Accepted Article.
Objective GLP‐1 receptor agonists (GLP‐1RAs) and SGLT2 inhibitors (SGLT2is) facilitate weight loss and exhibit immunomodulatory effects, but their impact on the risk of developing autoimmune rheumatic diseases (ARDs) is unclear. We compared ARD incidence following initiation of GLP‐1RAs, or SGLT2is, vs.

Blood pressure effects of SGLT2 inhibitors and GLP‐1 receptor agonists: Mechanisms, trial evidence and Real‐world data

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
SGLT2 inhibitors and GLP‐1 receptor agonists modestly lower blood pressure across diverse patient populations, including those without diabetes. These effects appear largely independent of glycaemic control and offer additive value in high‐risk patients with overlapping comorbidities.
