On the constant congruence speed of tetration [PDF]

open access: yesNotes on Number Theory and Discrete Mathematics, 2020
For every non-negative integer $a$ and positive integer $b$, the congruence speed of the tetration $^{b}a$ is the difference between the number of the rightmost digits of $^{b}a$ that are the same as those of $^{b+1}a$ and the number of the rightmost digits of $^{b-1}a$ that are the same as those of $^{b}a$.

The congruence speed formula [PDF]

open access: yesNotes on Number Theory and Discrete Mathematics, 2021
We solve a few open problems related to a peculiar property of the integer tetration ^{b}a, which is the constancy of its congruence speed for any sufficiently large b = b(a). Assuming radix-10 (the well known decimal numeral system), we provide an explicit formula for the congruence speed V(a) ∈ ℕ_0 of any a ∈ ℕ − {0} that is not a multiple of 10.

Strategic decision making and innovative performance of micro and small enterprises

open access: yesEntrepreneurship and Sustainability Issues, 2022
The aim of the study is to examine the relationship between strategic decision speed and innovative performance of micro and small enterprises. Attention is focused not only on the direct effect of these two variables, but also its mediation by sharing ...

Efficiently Simulating Higher-Order Arithmetic by a First-Order Theory Modulo [PDF]

open access: yesLogical Methods in Computer Science, 2011
In deduction modulo, a theory is not represented by a set of axioms but by a congruence on propositions modulo which the inference rules of standard deductive systems---such as for instance natural deduction---are applied.

Effect of birdsongs and traffic noise on pedestrian walking speed during different seasons [PDF]

open access: yesPeerJ, 2019
Many studies have explored the effects of auditory and visual stimuli on the perception of an environment. However, there is a lack of investigations examining direct behavioral responses to noise in specific environments.

Internet of Robotic Things (IoRT) and Metaheuristic Optimization Techniques Applied for Wheel-Legged Robot

open access: yesFuture Internet, 2023
This paper presents the operation of a remotely controlled, wheel-legged robot. The developed Wi-Fi connection framework is established on a popular ARM microcontroller board. The implementation provides a low-cost solution that is in congruence with the

Diminished ability to integrate target stimuli with context during emotional recognition in individuals with broad autism phenotype

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychology, 2022
Individuals with broad autism phenotype (BAP) have a tendency not to integrate emotional stimuli with the surrounding context. They have also shown different patterns and abilities in processing positive and negative emotions. This study aimed to examine

Vision Affects Gait Speed but not Patterns of Muscle Activation During Inclined Walking—A Virtual Reality Study

open access: yesFrontiers in Bioengineering and Biotechnology, 2021
While walking, our locomotion is affected by and adapts to the environment based on vision- and body-based (vestibular and proprioception) cues. When transitioning to downhill walking, we modulate gait by braking to avoid uncontrolled acceleration, and ...
