Ammonites of the Westphalian Coniacian
The ammonite faunas of the Westphalian Coniacian are revised for the first time since the work of Clemens Schluter (1867; 1871-76). Twenty two genera and 25 species are described and figured including Schluter's surviving material.

Long‐Term Deformation in the Alpine‐Provence Foreland Constrained by In Situ Calcite U‐Pb Dating
Abstract The evolution of the Alpine‐Provence foreland is characterized by multiple deformation phases since the Mesozoic, representing successive compressional and extensional episodes. The precise timing and spatial evolution of these deformation phases remain poorly constrained due to the lack of absolute geochronological data. Here, we present U–Pb

The Coniacian stage and substage boundaries
The Coniacian Working Group of the Cretaceous Subcommission on Stratigraphy has recommended the First Occurrence (FO) of the inoceramid bivalve Cremnoceramus rotundatus (sensu Tröger non Fiege) as criterion for recognising the Turonian-Coniacian boundary.

Abstract Dinosaur eggs were recovered from the Dadaepo Basin in Busan (south‐east Korea), which is early Late Cretaceous in age and is close to Japan, but the eggs have not been studied. Among East Asian egg‐bearing basins, the Dadaepo Basin is characterized by exceptionally high thermal maturity (c.

Abstract The paleomagnetism of Miocene calc‐alkaline volcanics and sediments from Sardinia has firmly showed that the Corsica‐Sardinia microplate rotated 50°–60° counterclockwise (CCW) with respect to Europe between 21 and 15 Ma, during its drift from the Provencal margin. However, Permian to Eocene rocks from central‐south Sardinia revealed higher (up

Tracking palaeotemperatures in Coniacian–Maastrichtian seas [PDF]
In this study the stable isotopes of belemnites, are presented from the Coniacian–Maastrichtian interval (∼76–66 Ma) derived from the chalks of Yorkshire and Norfolk, UK, deposited on the western North Atlantic shelf.

The Upper Coniacian and Santorian ammonite faunas of Westphalia
The high Coniacian and Santonian ammonite faunas of the Münster Basin are systematically and stratigraphically revised. They comprise 32 species, referred to 20 genera. In addition to SCHLÜTER's (1871-1876) type-material, the accessible specimens figured
