Amblyomma sculptum showed a plasmatocyte‐dominant haemocyte profile. Beauveria bassiana increased plasmatocytes and reduced granulocytes, whereas Metarhizium robertsii did not cause significant changes. Amblyomma americanum showed a granulocyte‐dominant haemocyte profile. Beauveria bassiana reduced total haemocytes and granulocytes. B.

Natural Suppression of the Aquatic Weed Salvinia molesta D.S. Mitchell, by Two Previously Unreported Fungal Pathogens [PDF]
Salvinia molesta D. S. Mitchell (Salviniaceae), variously called giant salvinia, water fern or African payal, is a vegetatively reproducing, perennial, free-floating, aquatic weed, native to southeastern Brazil (Waterhouse and Norris 1987).

Exploration of essential oils as alternatives to conventional fungicides in lupin cultivation [PDF]
Lupin (Lupinus L.) has the potential to become a true alternative for soybean as protein source, especially in the more temperate regions in the world. However, diseases such as anthracnose (Colletotrichum lupini), gray mold (Botrytis cinerea), and root ...

ABSTRACT Grapevine powdery mildew, caused by the fungus Erysiphe necator, is one of the most prevalent obligate biotrophic pathogens in vineyards, posing a significant threat to grape production. Despite its impact, research on E. necator pathogenicity and grapevine responses remains limited.

ABSTRACT Biotic stresses, particularly Verticillium wilt (VW), lead to a global decline in cotton yields. Here, we demonstrate that ectopic expression of ScALDH21, a gene from the desiccation‐tolerant moss Syntrichia caninervis Mitt. and absent in angiosperms, enhances cotton's resistance to VW.

WHI-2 Regulates Intercellular Communication via a MAP Kinase Signaling Complex [PDF]
he formation of the fungal mycelial network is facilitated by somatic cell fusion of germinating asexual spores (or germlings). Neurospora crassa germlings in close proximity display chemotropic growth that is dependent upon an intracellular network of ...

Pinus‐derived membrane vesicles disrupt pathogenic metabolism in fungi
Needle‐derived vesicles from pine trees impair fungal metabolism and growth, offering a sustainable strategy to control pine pitch canker disease. Abstract Much of what we know about the biological impacts of vesicles (MVs) is derived from Arabidopsis thaliana.
