Potensi Cuka Kayu Pinus dalam Pengendalian Penyakit Antraknosa pada Cabai Merah

open access: yesJurnal Fitopatologi Indonesia, 2014
Anthracnose disease caused by Colletotrichum capsici is a major disease on red chili which causes great economic losses. Wood vinegar, as a result of condensation of smoke, can be used as bactericide and fungicide.

CsdA‐LaeB Regulatory Hub Contributes to Aspergillus fumigatus Virulence via Fumiquinazoline C Biosynthesis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies a conserved CsdA‐LaeB hub in Aspergillus fumigatus that regulates secondary metabolite fumiquinazoline C (FqC). Disrupting this hub enhances FqC production and virulence, shedding new light on the post‐transcriptional regulatory logic linking secondary metabolism to pathogenicity and offering alternative strategies for diagnostic ...

Homeobox transcription factors are required for conidiation and appressorium development in the rice blast fungus Magnaporthe oryzae. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS Genetics, 2009
The appropriate development of conidia and appressoria is critical in the disease cycle of many fungal pathogens, including Magnaporthe oryzae. A total of eight genes (MoHOX1 to MoHOX8) encoding putative homeobox transcription factors (TFs) were ...

ERAD Component MoHrd3 Facilitates Pathogenicity and Establishes a Direct Regulation on Autophagy in Magnaporthe Oryzae

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
MoHrd3 plays a crucial role in regulating the pathogenicity of Magnaporthe oryzae. As an ER‐associated degradation component, MoHrd3 involves in ER stress‐triggered autophagy. It facilitates the fusion between the autophagosome and the vacuole via enhancing the interaction between MoAtg8 and MoYpt7.

Metarhizium anisopliae Mitigates the Phytotoxicity of Lead and Nanoplastics on Rice by Modifying Physiological, Transcriptomic, Metabolomic Activities, and Soil Microbiome

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Metarhizium anisopliae alleviates the phytotoxic effects of polyethylene nanoplastics (NP) and lead (Pb) in rice by decreasing Pb uptake, restoring antioxidant and hormonal equilibrium, and promoting growth. Additionally, the fungus modifies the rhizosphere microbiota, enhancing both contaminant tolerance and plant growth, thereby effectively ...

The Subunit Nto1 of the NuA3 Complex Is Associated with Conidiation, Oxidative Stress Response, and Pathogenicity in Fusarium oxysporum

open access: yesHorticulturae, 2022
Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. conglutinans (FOC) is the dominant pathogen of vascular wilt disease on cabbage and other crucifers. Foc-Nto1 was confirmed to be the homologous protein of Nto1, a subunit of the NuA3 (nucleosomal acetyltransferase of histone H3)

Psilocybin Production With Genetically Modified Aspergillus nidulans Under Pressurized Conditions

open access: yesBiotechnology and Bioengineering, EarlyView.
Shake flask cultures of psilocybin‐producing A. nidulans were investigated with respect to nitrogen source, rheology, power input, and oxygen availability, and subsequently scaled to a stirred tank reactor scale based on specific power input to develop and optimize a pressurized bioprocess.

Influence of Zn2+ and Oxygen Supply on Malic Acid Production and Growth of Aspergillus oryzae

open access: yesBiotechnology and Bioengineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Malic acid is a valuable platform chemical traditionally derived from fossil‐based resources. Microbial cultivation with Aspergillus oryzae offers a sustainable alternative based on renewable feedstocks. In this study, a well‐established minimal medium for malic acid production, commonly used in previous research to ensure reproducibility, was

Towards Replacing the “Great Antifungal Wall”: Exploiting Synergies Between Sourdough Fermentation Protocols, Antifungal Plant Ingredients, and Contamination Control to Extend the Mold‐Free Shelf‐Life of Bread

open access: yesCereal Chemistry, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background “Clean label” antifungal ingredients and fermentation protocols are a promising strategy to meet shelf‐life requirements in the bread industry. Objectives This study evaluated the mold‐free shelf‐life of bread formulations incorporating sourdough combined with antifungal ingredients or additives.
