Conditions of topological conjugacy of gradient-like diffeomorphisms on irreducible 3-manifolds

Mathematical Notes, 1996
Let \(M\) be a closed irreducible 3-manifold and \(f\in \text{Diff} (M)\) a gradient-like diffeomorphism on \(M\). By \(\Omega (f)\) we denote the set of periodic points of \(f\). Represent the set of saddle periodic points as the union \(\Omega_1(f) \cup \Omega_2 (f)\), where \(\Omega_1(f)\) \((\Omega_2(f))\) consists of all points \(p\) such that ...

Arithmetical conditions on the conjugacy vector of a finite group

Israel Journal of Mathematics, 1986
This paper contains new properties of the numbers \(r_ G(xN)=| \{Cl_ G(g):\) \(Cl_ G(g)\cap xN\neq \emptyset \}|\) where G is a finite group and N is a normal subgroup of G. In particular, the author proves the following Theorem 1. Let \(\bar G=G/N\).

The role of conjugacy in the dynamics of time of arrival operators

Physics Letters
The construction of time of arrival (TOA) operators canonically conjugate to the system Hamiltonian entails finding the solution of a specific second-order partial differential equation called the time kernel equation (TKE).

On some problems of conjugacy in semigroups

Communications in Algebra
The conjugacy relation is an important tool in the study of group theory and now has been generalized to semigroups in several methods. In particular, the p-conjugacy, o-conjugacy, c-conjugacy, i-conjugacy, n-conjugacy and r-conjugacy in semigroups are ...

On the Topological Conjugacy of Skew Products with a Chaotic Base

Nelineinaya Dinamika
This paper investigates the topological conjugacy of skew products defined on the total space of locally trivial fiber bundles. We prove that under certain restrictions on the chaotic dynamics of the homeomorphism on the base, namely, the inability to ...

On two conditions on characters and conjugacy classes in finite soluble groups

Journal of Group Theory, 2005
The author considers the following two conditions for finite groups \(G\). Condition 1. \(|\{\chi\mid\chi\in\text{Irr}(G),\;\chi(1)=n\}|\leq r\) for every \(n\). Condition 2. \(G\) has at most \(r\) conjugacy classes of size \(k\) for any \(k\). Extending known results for finite nilpotent groups the author proves the following results.

A Hybrid Conjugate Gradient Algorithm for Nonlinear System of Equations through Conjugacy Condition

Journal of Global Humanities and Social Sciences
For the purpose of solving a large-scale system of nonlinear equations, a hybrid conjugate gradient algorithm is introduced in this paper, based on the convex combination of βFR k and βPRP k parameters. It is made possible by incorporating the conjugacy condition together with the proposed conjugate gradient search direction. Furthermore, a significant
