Dual targeting of RET and SRC synergizes in RET fusion‐positive cancer cells
Despite the strong activity of selective RET tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), resistance of RET fusion‐positive (RET+) lung cancer and thyroid cancer frequently occurs and is mainly driven by RET‐independent bypass mechanisms. Son et al. show that SRC TKIs significantly inhibit PAK and AKT survival signaling and enhance the efficacy of RET TKIs in ...

Bayesian Inference Based on Multiply Type-II Censored Sample from a General Class of Distributions
In this paper, we consider a general form for the underlying distribution and a general conjugate prior, and develop a general procedure for Bayesian estimation based on an observed multiply Type-II censored sample.

Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Updates in Drug-Related Pneumonitis Due to Targeted Oncologic Therapies [PDF]
An increasing number of newer targeted oncologic therapies approved for clinical use can cause drug-related pneumonitis. Drug-related pneumonitis can be difficult to diagnose and requires a high index of suspicion.

Exploiting metabolic adaptations to overcome dabrafenib treatment resistance in melanoma cells
We show that dabrafenib‐resistant melanoma cells undergo mitochondrial remodeling, leading to elevated respiration and ROS production balanced by stronger antioxidant defenses. This altered redox state promotes survival despite mitochondrial damage but renders resistant cells highly vulnerable to ROS‐inducing compounds such as PEITC, highlighting redox

Monitoring circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) in patients with operable breast cancer can reveal disease relapse earlier than radiology in a subset of patients. The failure to detect ctDNA in some patients with recurrent disease suggests that ctDNA could serve as a supplement to other monitoring approaches.

EMPIRICAL BAYES ANALYSIS OF TWO-FACTOR EXPERIMENTS UNDER INVERSE GAUSSIAN MODEL [PDF]
A two-factor experiment with interaction between factors wherein observations follow an Inverse Gaussian model is considered. Analysis of the experiment is approached via an empirical Bayes procedure.
