A Bayesian Model to Incorporate Jointly Distributed Generalized Prior Information on Means and Loadings in Factor Analysis [PDF]
A Bayesian factor analysis model is outlined in which prior knowledge regarding the model parameters is quantified using prior distribution and incorporated into the inferences along with the data.

On conjugate families and Jeffreys priors for von Mises–Fisher distributions
This paper discusses characteristics of standard conjugate priors and their induced posteriors in Bayesian inference for von Mises-Fisher distributions, using either the canonical natural exponential family or the more commonly employed polar coordinate parameterizations.

Bayesian marginal equivalence of elliptical regression models. [PDF]
The use of proper prior densities in regression models with multivariate non-Normal elliptical error distributions is examined when the scale matrix is known up to a precision factor T, treated as a nuisance parameter.

This study used longitudinal transcriptomics and gene‐pattern classification to uncover patient‐specific mechanisms of chemotherapy resistance in breast cancer. Findings reveal preexisting drug‐tolerant states in primary tumors and diverse gene rewiring patterns across patients, converging on a few dysregulated functional modules. Despite receiving the

Nuclear prothymosin α inhibits epithelial‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in lung cancer by increasing Smad7 acetylation and competing with Smad2 for binding to SNAI1, TWIST1, and ZEB1 promoters. In early‐stage cancer, ProT suppresses TGF‐β‐induced EMT, while its loss in the nucleus in late‐stage cancer leads to enhanced EMT and poor prognosis.

Breast cancer metastasis is associated with myeloid cell dysregulation and the lung‐specific accumulation of tumor‐supportive Gr1+ cells. Gr1+ cells support metastasis, in part, through a CHI3L1‐mediated mechanism, which can be targeted and inhibited with cargo‐free, polymeric nanoparticles.

E-Bayesian estimation for the Lomax distribution based on type-II censored data
This paper is concerned with using the E-Bayesian method for computing estimates of the unknown parameter and some survival time parameters e.g. reliability and hazard functions of Lomax distribution based on type-II censored data.

Natural conjugate priors for the instrumental variables regression model applied to the Angrist-Krueger data [PDF]
We propose a natural conjugate prior for the instrumentalvariables regression model. The prior is a natural conjugate onesince the marginal prior and posterior of the structural parameterhave the same functional expressions which directly reveal ...

Loss of proton‐sensing GPR4 reduces tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer
G protein‐coupled receptor 4 (GPR4) is a pH‐sensing receptor activated by acidic pH. GPR4 expression is increased in patients with inflammatory bowel disease who are at high risk of developing colorectal cancer. In mouse models, loss of GPR4 attenuated tumor progression. This correlated with increased IL2 and natural killer cell activity.
