PMO Treatment of Conjugated Systems

1975
In order to apply the formal scheme developed in the previous chapter, we have to have some way of estimating the various quantities that appear in the perturbation expressions. These fall into two categories, the integral terms and the AO coefficients.

?, ? Conjugation in organometallic systems

Bulletin of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR Division of Chemical Science, 1979
In concluding it should be noted that the data presented in the present work support the results of earlier chemical studies [1, 2, 7], insofar as they show that conjugation of the C-Hg bond with C=O and C=C bonds is realized in the mercury derivatives of the acyclic and monocyclic ketones and aldehydes, and their ally 1-type analogs.

Colour and topology of conjugated systems

Journal of Molecular Structure, 1990
Abstract Colour of polymethine dyes is theoretically characterized by topological indices of their end-groups: the effective length and the electron donor ability. These parameters can be calculated and interpreted through various approaches, involving the formalism of graph theory. The account of the electronic interaction is discussed.

Trialkyl acylphosphorimidates as conjugated systems

Bulletin of the Academy of Sciences, USSR Division of Chemical Science, 1965
Triethyl acylphosphorimidates are characterized by their ability to undergo substitution reactions of not only the 1,2-type, but also the 1,4-and 1,6-types. It is thus confirmed that a tetrahedral phosphorus atom can be included in the conjugated chain $$O = \mathop C\limits_| - N = \mathop P\limits_|^| - O - \mathop C\limits_|^| - .$$

Conjugation and aromaticity of macrocyclic systems

International Journal of Quantum Chemistry, 1988
Using a graph theoretical approach we have analyzed the aromatic stability of macrocylic systems having ten and fewer fused benzene rings. The approach requires construction and examination of Kekule valence structures of the macrocyclic systems considered.

Conjugated polymer information system

Synthetic Metals, 2001
A new polymer information system (PolymerlS) for the design and analysis of conjugated and several other classes of novel polymers is being developed. Detailed information on electronic, optical, thermo-mechanical and other relevant properties of over 20,000 electron and ion conducting polymers and polymer objects have been collected and organized in a

Vibronic interactions in conjugated systems

1962
A. It is first shown how the ordinary Born-Oppenheimer approximation for separating nuclear and electron motions in a molecule can be adapted to degenerate electronic states. Semi-empirical molecular orbital theory is then used to examine Jahn-Teller distortions in the ground states of conjugated hydrocarbon radicals. Numerical predictions are made for
