ABSTRACT This article examines a transient, one‐dimensional model of surface regression during opposed flow flame spread over finite thickness, non‐charring thermoplastics. Gas to solid conductive transfer from the flame drives sample heating. The solid degrades into volatile fuel molecules in two stages: (1) the pre‐vaporization heat‐up stage and (2 ...

Physiology and decay activity of the birch conk fungus Polyporus betulinus (Bull.) Fr.
The destructive activity on wood and the physiological behaviour of Polyporus betulinus have been studied. When attacking birch wood under favourable conditions P. betulinus proved able to cause a maximal weight loss of about 71 %. This was also true for Polyporus marginatus which was chosen as a comparative organism.

Embracing Complexity in HRM Research: A Call for System and Process Perspectives
ABSTRACT Human resource management (HRM) is inherently complex. It involves systems of principles, practices, and activities operating at individual, group, organizational, and macro levels, which are interlinked through complex processes. Yet, empirical research has not kept pace with this conceptual richness.

The hidden regulators: Non‐coding RNAs in KMT2A‐rearranged acute lymphoblastic leukemia
Abstract Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) driven by KMT2A rearrangements (KMT2A‐r) is an aggressive hematologic malignancy with poor prognosis and a high incidence in infants. While KMT2A fusion proteins drive leukemogenesis through transcriptional dysregulation, recent discoveries have highlighted the pivotal role of non‐coding RNAs (ncRNAs) in ...
