To improve patients’ empowerment by selfconnection in home parenteral nutrition
One promising approach for patients who need parenteral nutrition to live an almost normal life, is to provide extra-hospital therapy. This therapy is supported by an ambulatory care service whose staff connects and disconnects the nutritional fluid day ...

Equitable factorizations of edge-connected graphs
In this paper, we show that every $(3k-3)$-edge-connected graph $G$, under a certain condition on whose degrees, can be edge-decomposed into $k$ factors $G_1,\ldots, G_k$ such that for each vertex $v\in V(G_i)$, $|d_{G_i}(v)-d_G(v)/k|< 1$, where $1\le i\le k$.

Stem Cell Factors in Plants: Chromatin Connections [PDF]
The progression of pluripotent stem cells to differentiated cell lineages requires major shifts in cell differentiation programs. In both mammals and higher plants, this process appears to be controlled by a dedicated set of transcription factors, many of which are kingdom specific.

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

An unexpected alternative interaction site for ethyl viologen was identified in formate dehydrogenase 1 from Methylorubrum extorquens. Combined mutagenesis, kinetic analysis, and docking revealed that aromatic residues near an iron–sulfur cluster enable flavin mononucleotide‐independent electron transfer, offering a framework for engineering improved ...

Proteostasis and the gut microbiota play a key role in shaping host physiology. Microbiota‐derived metabolites, vitamins, and RNA modulate host proteostasis. Findings from model systems, including C. elegans, indicate microbes can either stabilize or disrupt host proteostasis.
