Subepithelial connective tissue grafts (SCTGS) in periodontology
Periodontal plastic surgery applications have increased in modern dentistry as the importance of patients to their appearance. For this purpose, many techniques and flap designs have been used to treat gingival recession, but subepithelial connective ...

Optimization of structural and mechanical properties of electro-spun biodegradable scaffolds for vascular vissue regeneration [PDF]
Includes abstract.Includes bibliographical references.Current replacements for diseased arteries include autologous and artificial grafts. The availability of autologous grafts is limited and artificial grafts tend to fail when applied to small calibre ...

The Bio-Tribological Characteristics of Synthetic Tissue Grafts [PDF]
The use of synthetic connective tissue grafts became popular in the mid-1980s, particularly for anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction; however, this trend was soon changed given the high failure rate due to abrasive wear.

Neutralization of the PTX3/CD44 axis suppresses TGF‐β1 signaling in kidney fibrosis
This study investigates how the PTX3/CD44 axis promotes kidney fibrosis by activating TGF‐β1 signaling. We demonstrate that the neutralizing antibody WHC‐001 effectively inhibits this pathway, suppressing myofibroblast activation and partial epithelial–mesenchymal transition (EMT).

Going viral − Virus‐targeting nanobodies for research, diagnostics and therapy
The increasing prevalence of viral diseases represents a major threat for global human health. Nanobodies, small binding fragments derived from camelid heavy‐chain antibodies, offer versatile tools for viral research, diagnostics, and antiviral therapy.

Porcine Acellular Dermal Matrix: An Alternative to Connective Tissue Graft—A Narrative Review
Porcine acellular dermal matrix has recently been introduced in dentistry as an alternative to the gold standard connective tissue graft especially for the use in gingival recession treatments and soft tissue augmentation in implant surgery.

Pontic Site Development using Soft-tissue Augmentation with Connective Tissue Graft in Maxillary Anterior Region: A Case Report [PDF]
Restoring a localised alveolar ridge defect in the anterior aesthetic zone poses the greatest challenge in the field of Perio-aesthetics. Various soft-tissue augmentation techniques have been recommended for soft-tissue augmentation.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Soft tissue and esthetic considerations around implants
The health of the peri – implant tissues play an important in the long term outcome of dental implants. The absence of keratinized gingiva (KG) may be a risk factor for developing recession or peri –implantitis.

Targeting the EpCAM‐AXL axis to overcome drug resistance in lung cancer
Lung cancer cells often evade therapy by hijacking signaling pathways. We reveal that cleaved EpCAM (sEpCAM) stabilizes the oncogenic protein AXL, driving NF‐κB and STAT3‐mediated chemoresistance. This EpCAM‐AXL axis identifies a high‐risk patient subset with poor prognosis.
