A new flow chip in combination with multiphoton microscopy as a protocol for longitudinal 3D imaging of tissue calcification under shear stress

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Miniaturized flow chip platform enabling continuous perfusion and longitudinal multiphoton 3D imaging of vascular smooth muscle cell constructs under physiological flow. Brightfield imaging guides region selection, while CellTracker Green and mRuby‐labeled fetuin‐A visualize cells and mineral deposition, respectively. Magnesium supplementation markedly

Histomorphometric analysis of the palatal soft tissue as donor region for retrieval of connective tissue grafts

open access: yes, 2014
Objectives The soft tissue of the palate is the most frequently used donor side for connective tissue grafts. Various techniques have been described to harvest the connective tissue in anterior and posterior regions of the palate (Hürzeler 1999, Jung ...

Efficacy of subepithelial connective tissue grafts in the treatment of Miller’s Class I and II gingival recessions

open access: yesمجله دانشکده دندانپزشکی اصفهان, 2011
Introduction: The aim of this literature review was to evaluate the efficacy of subepithelial connective tissue grafts (SCTG) in comparison with other commonly used techniques for the coverage of denuded root surfaces.Materials and methods: An electronic

Cell surface CD11c as a neutrophil aging marker molecule

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Cell surface CD11chi neutrophils were more aged and had better phagocytic function than CD11c−/lo neutrophils. Transcriptomic analysis of CD11chi neutrophils and CD11c−/lo neutrophils in pediatric population showed that the most difference was seen in infants.

Fluorination: A strategy to tune the interactions of molecules and nanoscale systems with biological matter

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This minireview explores fluorination as a key strategy to optimize therapeutic molecules and nanocarriers. By incorporating different fluorinated motifs—from single atoms to linear and branched chains—drug delivery, cellular uptake, and colloidal stability can be improved and fine‐tuned.

Autologous micrografts from the palatal mucosa for bone regeneration in calvarial defects in rats: a radiological and histological analysis

open access: yesInternational Journal of Implant Dentistry, 2021
Background The application of dental implants is often restricted by bone volume. In such cases, bone grafts are required, although bone graft materials have some disadvantages. Therefore, other effective approaches are needed.

Hydrogel platforms for 3D cardiac tissue engineering and fibrotic disease modelling

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Hydrogel‐based cardiac tissue models are advancing our understanding of heart health and disease. By incorporating electrical conductivity, aligned structures, and tunable mechanical properties, these platforms better replicate the complex environment of native heart tissue.

Chronobiology of Cancer: How Aging Fuels Oncogenesis at the Molecular Level

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
This graphical abstract illustrates the key biological pathways linking aging with cancer development and progression. In the upper left, cumulative exposure to ultraviolet radiation, toxins, and reactive oxygen species (ROS) causes DNA damage and genomic instability, whereas age‐related decline in repair mechanisms, such as ATM/ATR, BER, and NER ...

Effects of Subepithelial Connective Tissue Graft for Root Coverage. Subepithelial Connective Tissue Treatment.

open access: yesNihon Shishubyo Gakkai Kaishi (Journal of the Japanese Society of Periodontology), 1998
