Asynchronous Consensus Algorithm
This document describes a new consensus algorithm which is asynchronous and uses gossip based message dissemination between nodes. The current version of the algorithm does not cover the case of a node failure or significantly delayed response. This is the subject of further research of the algorithm.

Flexible Level-1 Consensus Ensuring Stable Social Choice: Analysis and Algorithms
Level-1 Consensus is a property of a preference-profile. Intuitively, it means that there exists a preference relation which induces an ordering of all other preferences such that frequent preferences are those that are more similar to it.

How to stop consensus algorithms, locally ? [PDF]
This paper studies problems on locally stopping distributed consensus algorithms over networks where each node updates its state by interacting with its neighbors and decides by itself whether certain level of agreement has been achieved among nodes.

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

Diffusion Strategy-Based Distributed Operation of Microgrids Using Multiagent System
In distributed operation, each unit is operated by its local controller instead of using a centralized controller, which allows the action to be based on local information rather than global information. Most of the distributed solutions have implemented

Byzantine Convex Consensus: An Optimal Algorithm [PDF]
Much of the past work on asynchronous approximate Byzantine consensus has assumed scalar inputs at the nodes [4, 8]. Recent work has yielded approximate Byzantine consensus algorithms for the case when the input at each node is a d-dimensional vector ...

Screening for lung cancer: A systematic review of overdiagnosis and its implications
Low‐dose computed tomography (CT) screening for lung cancer may increase overdiagnosis compared to no screening, though the risk is likely low versus chest X‐ray. Our review of 8 trials (84 660 participants) shows added costs. Further research with strict adherence to modern nodule management strategies may help determine the extent to which ...
