Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Logical consequence inside out
Tarski’s definition of logical consequence for an interpreted language rests on the distinction between extra-logical symbols, whose interpretation is allowed to vary across models, and logical symbols, aka logical constants, whose interpretation remains

Peace as Prerequisite rather than Consequence of Cooperation [PDF]
We take issue with Glowacki’s assumption that intergroup relations are characterized by positive-sum interactions and suggest to include negative-sum interactions, and between-group independence.

Complex sentences with copulative clauses of conjunction structures [PDF]
In this paper the author analyses the complex sentence with copulative clauses of conjunction structures. As a corpus it has taken modern prose writings David Albahari, Vladan Matić and Goran Petrović. Analyses and classification of the examples are done

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Relevant Consequence and Empirical Inquiry
A criterion of adequacy is proposed for theories of relevant consequence. According to the criterion, scientists whose deductive reasoning is limited to some proposed subset of the standard consequence relation must not thereby suffer a reduction in ...

SOME CONSIDERATIONS ON DISLOCATION FOR THERMOELASTIC MICROSTRETCH MATERIALS [PDF]
The aim of our study is to derive a relation of De Hoop-Knopoff type for displacement fields within the context of thermoelastic microstretch bodies. Then, as a consequence, an explicit expression of the body loadings equivalent to a seismic dislocation,
