SPATIAL PICTURE OF THE WORLD IN DIFFERENT LANGUAGES AND CULTURES

open access: yesSovremennye Issledovaniâ Socialʹnyh Problem, 2022
The article is devoted to the study of the spatial picture of the world in various languages and cultures. The culturally determined differences in the categorization of space and spatial relations in different languages are considered, the ways of ...

Pivotal and Pivotal-discriminative Consequence Relations

open access: yes, 2005
In the present paper, we investigate consequence relations that are both paraconsistent and plausible (but still monotonic). More precisely, we put the focus on pivotal consequence relations, i.e.

Labelled tableaux for nonmonotonic reasoning: Cumulative consequence relations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
In this paper we present a labelled proof method for computing nonmonotonic consequence relations in a conditional logic setting. The method exploits the strong connection between these deductive relations and conditional logics, and it is based on the ...

Thermomechanical Fatigue and Creep–Fatigue Interaction of Inconel 718 Additively Manufactured by Laser Beam Powder Bed Fusion

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Thermomechanical fatigue tests of laser beam powder bed fusion (PBF‐LB) Inconel 718 show that the additively manufactured material reaches almost the lifetimes of conventionally‐rolled material under no‐dwell conditions. Introducing dwell times at the maximum temperature markedly reduces the lifetimes due to pronounced grain boundary sliding associated

Composition‐Tuned Enhancement of the Anomalous Nernst Effect in FeCo–Pt Thin Films on Rigid and Flexible Substrates

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Disordered (Fe50Co50)1−xPtx thin films exhibit a pronounced anomalous Nernst effect (ANE) with a strong composition dependence on both rigid and flexible substrates. The transverse thermoelectric response peaks near 22.5 at.% Pt, accompanied by enhanced αxy/σxy scaling, thermal transport, and ANE sensitivity.

Combined Process‐ and Phase‐Field‐Simulation to Predict the Microstructure of Single‐Crystal Ni‐Based Superalloys

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A combined finite element and phase‐field approach predicts the evolution of microstructure during the directional solidification of Ni‐based superalloys. The model reveals how withdrawal rate, temperature gradient, and wall thickness control the dendrite spacing, highlighting the strong effect of surface regions in thin sections where dendrite growth ...

Productivity‐Driven Optimization of Laser Powder Bed Fusion Parameters for IN718 Superalloy: Process Control, Microstructure, and Mechanical Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates how optimizing laser power, scanning speed, and hatching distance in laser powder bed fusion can boost the productivity of Inconel 718 manufacturing by up to 29% while maintaining mechanical integrity. The work delivers a validated process window and cost–time analysis, offering industry‐ready guidelines for efficient additive ...

An Analytic Study of Compression in Cinema, Based on Conceptual Blending Theory: A Case Study of Dancing in Dust [PDF]

open access: yesمطالعات زبان‌‌ها و گویش‌های غرب ایران, 2019
Compression is one of the key concepts in Conceptual Blending Theory (Fauconnier & Turner, 2002) which as part of Cognitive Semantics seeks to render a general model for meaning construction. Compression helps human beings to perceive diffused consequent

A Labelled Tableau Calculus for Nonmonotonic (Cumulative) Consequence Relations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
In this paper we present a labelled proof method for computing nonmonotonic consequence relations in a conditional logic setting. The method is based on the usual possible world semantics for conditional logic.

Field Report from Collaborative Research Center 1625: Heterogeneous Research Data Management Using Ontology Representations

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A unified research data management framework for heterogeneous materials data is presented. The system integrates multimodal datasets using ontologies and knowledge graphs, enabling interoperability and FAIR (findable, accessible, interoperable, reusable) data principles. By linking data across scales and workflows, it supports reproducible, Artifitial
