Psychological Effects of Breast-Conserving Cancer Treatment and Mastectomy

Patients in the early stages of breast cancer were studied one year after treatment to ascertain the psychological effects of mastectomy and a breast-conserving alternative, lumpectomy plus radiation therapy.
