On Helicoidal Surfaces with Constant Mean Curvature and Their Limiting Surfaces [PDF]
The family of helicoidal surfaces of Euclidean 3-space with nonzero constant mean curvature is studied, first investigated by M. do Carmo and M. Dajczer. A special parametrization of the family is given. Moreover, the limit helicoidal surfaces, obtained when the absolute value of at least one parameter goes to infinity, are studied.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.
