Constant beamwidth generalised sidelobe canceller
In this paper, we proposed a constant beamwidth discrete Fourier transform (DFT) beamformer based on the generalised sidelobe canceller (GSC). Broadband signals are decomposed into frequency bins which are grouped into octaves and tapered individually ...

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

Law of Shear wave speed in Shear Wave Imaging
: Radiation force from ultrasound has been used to excite monochromatic waves in tissues. The shear wave propagation speed is related to the shear elasticity and shear viscosity of the tissue.

Propagation of a Modified Complex Lorentz–Gaussian-Correlated Beam in a Marine Atmosphere
In this paper, we study the second-order statistics of a modified complex Lorentz–Gaussian-correlated (MCLGC) beam, which is a new type of partially coherent beam capable of producing an Airy-like intensity pattern in the far field, propagation through ...

Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Directed evolution of enzymes at the crossroads of tradition and innovation
An iterative cycle of data‐driven enzyme optimization comprising four stages: genetic diversification of a template enzyme, expression of protein variants, high‐throughput evaluation, and machine‐learning‐guided redesign of the next variant library.
