Precise Interprocedural Dataflow Analysis with Applications to Constant Propagation [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
This paper concerns interprocedural dataflow-analysis problems in which the dataflow information at a program point is represented by an environment (i.e., a mapping from symbols to values), and the effect of a program operation is represented by a ...

Effect of terahertz irradiation on DNA damage repair in living cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We investigated the effect of terahertz (THz) wave irradiation on DNA double‐strand break (DSB) repair in living cells. We found that THz irradiation enhanced DSB repair at specific frequencies, whereas heat treatment inhibited it, indicating that this effect is nonthermal and frequency‐specific.

Perturbative and nonperturbative quasinormal modes of 4D Einstein–Gauss–Bonnet black holes

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2020
We study the propagation of probe scalar fields in the background of 4D Einstein–Gauss–Bonnet black holes with anti-de Sitter (AdS) asymptotics and calculate the quasinormal modes.

A Q‐Learning Algorithm to Solve the Two‐Player Zero‐Sum Game Problem for Nonlinear Systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, Volume 39, Issue 3, Page 566-581, March 2025.
A Q‐learning algorithm to solve the two‐player zero‐sum game problem for nonlinear systems. ABSTRACT This paper deals with the two‐player zero‐sum game problem, which is a bounded L2$$ {L}_2 $$‐gain robust control problem. Finding an analytical solution to the complex Hamilton‐Jacobi‐Issacs (HJI) equation is a challenging task.

Controlling light tunneling by adiabatic passage in two modulated nonlinear waveguides

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2019
We theoretically investigate light propagation in two coupled nonlinear waveguides with a certain static propagation constant detuning between two waveguides and with the linear refractive index modulated along the propagation direction.

Nonlinear deformation and run-up of single tsunami waves of positive polarity: numerical simulations and analytical predictions [PDF]

open access: yesNatural Hazards and Earth System Sciences, 2019
The estimate of an individual wave run-up is especially important for tsunami warning and risk assessment, as it allows for evaluating the inundation area. Here, as a model of tsunamis, we use the long single wave of positive polarity. The period of such

Applied constant gain amplification in circulating loop experiments [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The reconfiguration of channel or wavelength routes in optically transparent mesh networks can lead to deviations in channel power that may impact transmission performance.

Adaptive Observer for Coupled Wave PDE and Infinite ODE With Sampled Data and Unknown Input: Application to Brain Hemodynamics Estimation

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
This article proposes a convergent adaptive observer for a damped wave PDE and an infinite‐dimensional ODE coupled in cascade using sampled‐in‐space ODE state measurements. The proposed observer estimates the distributed states of the PDE and ODE along with unknown PDE parameters and spatial input.

Análisis por elementos finitos del amplificador de fibra óptica dopada con Erbio

open access: yesMomento, 1995
Erbium-doped fiber optical amplifier is analized using a semiclasical theory, where we calculate the complex atomic susceptibility of dopant as modeled as a three level atomic system. The complex propagation constant is obtained solving the wave equation

Mechanochemical Synthesis and Characterization of Nanostructured ErB4 and NdB4 Rare‐Earth Tetraborides

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
ErB4 and NdB4 nanostructured powders are produced by mechanochemical synthesis. 5 h mechanical alloying and 4 M HCl acid leaching are used in the production. ErB4 and NdB4 powders exhibit maximum magnetization of 0.4726 emu g−1 accompanied with an antiferromagnetic‐to‐paramagnetic phase transition at about TN = 18 K and 0.132 emu g−1 with a maximum at ...
