Low frequency voltage clamp: recording of voltage transients at constant average command voltage [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Neuroscience Methods, 2000
We implemented a simple feedback system that modifies the conventional current clamp mode of a patch clamp amplifier so that transient potentials, such as action potentials and synaptic potentials, can be measured as in the usual current clamp, while the average membrane potential is kept constant at a value chosen by the user.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Effect of Constant Voltage and Constant Current Interaction Mode on Microstructure and Properties of Micro-Arc Oxidation Ceramic Film on AZ31B Magnesium Alloy [PDF]

open access: yesCailiao Baohu
In order to study the effect of the superposition mode of constant voltage and constant current on the microstructure and properties of micro-arc oxidation coatings on AZ31B magnesium alloy, the AZ31B magnesium alloy was used as substrate under the ...

A Three-Phase Constant Common-Mode Voltage Inverter With Triple Voltage Boost for Transformerless Photovoltaic System

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
This paper introduces a new three-phase two-level inverter based on the switched-capacitor voltage multiplier. By adding a voltage multiplier network at the DC side of the traditional three-phase inverter topology, the DC-link voltage of the introduced ...

Dynamic Voltage Restorer to Maintain Constant Voltage at Load

open access: yesIOP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering, 2020
Abstract This paper is used for decrease the power quality problems in electrical distribution. Sometimes potential is not stable so it causes potential disturbances in power system then it produces harmonics in the system. Therefore, this gained with a concept called DVR.

Epigenetic blind spots – the role of DNA methylation dynamics in stem cell‐based models of embryogenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...
