Experimental studies on constant mass–volume depletion of gas-condensate systems

open access: yesEgyptian Journal of Petroleum, 2013
This paper presents a new empirical model to estimate dew point pressure Pd for gas condensate reservoirs as a function of routinely measured gas analysis and reservoir temperature.

A comparison of raspberry freezing-damage during preservation in isochoric and isobaric conditions

open access: yesFrontiers in Nutrition
IntroductionFruits are perishable, thus it’s crucial to have an efficient preservation technique that can increase storage time while keeping physical quality and nutritional attributes in order to avoid wastage.

Interplay between circadian and other transcription factors—Implications for cycling transcriptome reprogramming

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This perspective highlights emerging insights into how the circadian transcription factor CLOCK:BMAL1 regulates chromatin architecture, cooperates with other transcription factors, and coordinates enhancer dynamics. We propose an updated framework for how circadian transcription factors operate within dynamic and multifactorial chromatin landscapes ...

Buckling stability analysis of AFGM heavy columns with nonprismatic solid regular polygon cross-section and constant volume

open access: yesScience and Engineering of Composite Materials
This work presents a comprehensive analysis of buckling stability of axially functionally graded material (AFGM) heavy columns with nonprismatic solid regular polygon cross-section (RPCS) and constant volume.

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Constant volume combustion cycle for IC engines [PDF]

open access: yesFME Transactions, 2011
This paper presents an analysis of the internal combustion engine cycle in cases when the new unconventional piston motion law is used. The main goal of the presented unconventional piston motion law is to make a realization of combustion during constant

Structural instability impairs function of the UDP‐xylose synthase 1 Ile181Asn variant associated with short‐stature genetic syndrome in humans

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Spray, atomization and combustion characteristics of oxygenated fuels in a constant volume bomb: A review

open access: yesJournal of Traffic and Transportation Engineering (English ed. Online), 2020
Biofuels have extensive available resources and have an immense potential as promising alternative fuels for automobile. The application advantages of biofuels are mainly reflected as particulate matter (PM) reduction, carbon neutral, greenhouse gases ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.
