Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.

In general, a steel beam is connected to a concrete slab using shear connectors, forming a composite beam. This composite action shifts the neutral axis under bending, resulting in a buckling behavior that differs from that of a bare steel beam. Moreover,

Photon propagator in skewon electrodynamics
Electrodynamics with a local and linear constitutive law is used as a framework for models violating Lorentz covariance. The constitutive tensor of such a construction is irreducibly decomposed into three independent pieces.

Fermi Surface Nesting and Anomalous Hall Effect in Magnetically Frustrated Mn2PdIn
Mn2PdIn, a frustrated inverse Heusler alloy, showing electronic‐structure driven anomalous Hall effect with Weyl crossings, Fermi‐surface nesting and near‐zero magnetization ideal for low‐magnetization spintronics. Abstract Noncollinear magnets with near‐zero net magnetization and nontrivial bulk electronic topology hold significant promise for ...

Peptide Sequencing With Single Acid Resolution Using a Sub‐Nanometer Diameter Pore
To sequence a single molecule of Aβ1−42–sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), the aggregate is forced through a sub‐nanopore 0.4 nm in diameter spanning a 4.0 nm thick membrane. The figure is a visual molecular dynamics (VMD) snapshot depicting the translocation of Aβ1−42–SDS through the pore; only the peptide, the SDS, the Na+ (yellow/green) and Cl− (cyan ...

Rate- and State-Dependent Friction Law and Statistical Properties of Earthquakes
In order to clarify how the statistical properties of earthquakes depend on the constitutive law characterizing the stick-slip dynamics, we make an extensive numerical simulation of the one-dimensional spring-block model with the rate- and state ...

Implementation of a new time-dependent shotcrete constitutive model for 3D tunnel modeling
Shotcrete behaviors, including modulus and compressive strength, are highly time-dependent. Moreover, freshly applied shotcrete is subjected to loading immediately after application, making its realistic representation both essential and challenging in ...
