Modulus Constrained Waveform Design Considering Target Impulse Response Prediction

2017 4th International Conference on Information Science and Control Engineering (ICISCE), 2017
Optimal waveform design is an important technology for cognitive radar. Much effort has been focused on designing algorithms without target impulse response prediction and constant modulus constraint. In this paper, a new waveform design method is proposed, the next transmitted waveform could match the next target signature well.

A Subspace Constrained Constant Modulus Algorithm for Blind Array

2005 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2005
It is known that the stochastic gradient descent (SGD)-based constant modulus algorithm (CMA) has the drawback of slow convergence rate. It is also known that under some weak conditions, all local minima of CMA are identical to that of a CMA which is constrained in signal subspace.

Sensitivity of the linearly-constrained constant-modulus cost function

[1991] Conference Record of the Twenty-Fifth Asilomar Conference on Signals, Systems & Computers, 2002
The authors present results from the application of the linearly constrained constant-modulus (LCCM) adaptive algorithm to a perturbed array environment. Assuming a narrowband signal model, analytic expressions are derived for the feasible gain values on the signal in the presence of general array perturbations and ambient white noise.

Evaluation of modulus-constrained matched illumination waveforms for target identification

2010 IEEE Radar Conference, 2010
In prior work, we have applied matched illumination strategies to target identification by a closed-loop radar system. In the closed-loop system, multiple waveforms are transmitted in succession, but each is customized based on the returns from prior transmissions.

Constrained Modulus of Crushed Rock for Pipeline Embedment

Pipelines 2011, 2011
The constrained modulus (Ms) of soil has been used to predict the deflection and the buckling potential of buried flexible pipe. Since the constrained modulus (Ms) of soil increases with depth, Ms could have significant value in calculations for deep burial conditions. The standard laboratory test used to determine the constrained modulus is limited to

A constrained constant modulus algorithm based on uniform linear arrays

2010 4th International Symposium on Communications, Control and Signal Processing (ISCCSP), 2010
A novel constant modulus algorithm (CMA) is proposed based on a uniformly spaced linear array by constraining its weight vector to a specific conjugate symmetric form. The constraint is derived from the beamformer with an optimum output signal to interference plus noise ratio (SINR).

Optimal design of constant-modulus training sequences with constrained length

IEEE Transactions on Communications, 2006
In this letter, we consider optimal training designs for multiple-antenna cyclic-prefix-based single-carrier transmissions over frequency-selective channels. Our objective is to find optimal training sequences such that the mean-squared error of least-squares channel estimates is minimized, under constraints on the power, length, and modulus of ...

Robust Constrained Constant Modulus Algorithm for Signal Steering Vector Mismatches

2012 8th International Conference on Wireless Communications, Networking and Mobile Computing, 2012
The constant modulus algorithm (CMA) has been known as blind adaptive beamforming because it requires no knowledge about the signal except that the transmitted signal waveform has a constant envelope. But in practical applications, the performance of the linearly constrained CMA is known to degrade severely in the presence of even slight signal ...

A modified linearly constrained Constant Modulus Algorithm to suppress multiuser interference

2008 11th IEEE Singapore International Conference on Communication Systems, 2008
The Constant Modulus Algorithm (CMA) criterion has been proved to possibly capture the interference instead of the desired user. To solve this problem, linearly constrained constant modulus algorithm (LCCMA) was proposed in paper, but LCCMA can not correct the phase error of the received signal.
