Eigen-basis analysis of expected modulus perturbation for constrained signal design
2014 48th Asilomar Conference on Signals, Systems and Computers, 2014Radar waveforms typically require a constant modulus (constant amplitude) transmit signal to efficiently exploit the available transmit power. However, recent hardware advances and the capability for arbitrary (phase and amplitude) designed waveforms have forced a re-examination of this assumption to quantify the impact of modulus perturbation from ...

Evaluation of modulus-constrained matched illumination waveforms for target identification
2010 IEEE Radar Conference, 2010In prior work, we have applied matched illumination strategies to target identification by a closed-loop radar system. In the closed-loop system, multiple waveforms are transmitted in succession, but each is customized based on the returns from prior transmissions.

A constrained constant modulus algorithm based on uniform linear arrays
2010 4th International Symposium on Communications, Control and Signal Processing (ISCCSP), 2010A novel constant modulus algorithm (CMA) is proposed based on a uniformly spaced linear array by constraining its weight vector to a specific conjugate symmetric form. The constraint is derived from the beamformer with an optimum output signal to interference plus noise ratio (SINR).

Modulus-based iterative methods for constrained lp-lq minimization
2020The need to solve discrete ill-posed problems arises in many areas of science and engineering. Solutions of these problems, if they exist, are very sensitive to perturbations in the available data. Regularization replaces the original problem by a nearby regularized problem, whose solution is less sensitive to the error in the data.
