Optimal Design of a Dual-Pressure Steam Turbine for Rankine Cycle Based on Constructal Theory

open access: yesEnergies, 2022
A one-dimensional dual-pressure steam turbine (ST) model for the marine Rankine cycle is built in this paper. Based on constructal theory, the optimal design of the dual-pressure ST is performed with a fixed total volume of the high- and low-pressure STs.

Constructal Optimization for Cooling a Non-Uniform Heat Generating Radial-Pattern Disc by Conduction. [PDF]

open access: yesEntropy (Basel), 2018
A heat conduction model in a radial-pattern disc by considering non-uniform heat generation (NUHG) is established in this paper. A series of high conductivity channels (HCCs) are attached on the rim of the disc and extended to its center.

A thermo-physical analysis of the proton pump vacuolar-ATPase: the constructal approach. [PDF]

open access: yesSci Rep, 2014
Pumping protons across a membrane was a critical step at the origin of life on earth, and it is still performed in all living organisms, including in human cells. Proton pumping is paramount to keep normal cells alive, e.g.

Mathematical Model of a Constructal Coanda Effect Nozzle [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Applied Fluid Mechanics, 2016
This paper analyses the ACHEON Coanda effect nozzle for aircraft propulsion, based on the dynamic equilibrium of two jet streams. The ACHEON concept, and, in particular, the HOMER nozzle, which is its main component, are presented, together with the ...

CONSTRUCTIVE NONCOMMMUTATIVE INVARIANT THEORY [PDF]

open access: yesTransformation Groups, 2021
AbstractThe problem of finding generators of the subalgebra of invariants under the action of a group of automorphisms of a finite-dimensional Lie algebra on its universal enveloping algebra is reduced to finding homogeneous generators of the same group acting on the symmetric tensor algebra of the Lie algebra.

Constructal Design of an Idealize Arterial Bypass Graft: Effect of ‎the Bypass Attachment Pointon Resistance to Flow‎ [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Applied and Computational Mechanics, 2021
This paper aims to investigate, through the 3D numerical analysis of an idealized arterial bypass graft, the dependence of the resistance to flow on the bypass insertion point.

Improvement of Constructal Optimization for “Volume-Point” Heat Conduction Based on Uniformity Principle of Temperature Difference Fields

open access: yesMathematics, 2023
The uniformity principle of temperature difference fields (TDFs) is applied in this study to improve the constructal optimization for “volume-point” heat conduction based on entransy dissipation rate (EDR) minimization without the premise of an optimal ...

Constructive decision theory [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Economic Theory, 2013
In most contemporary approaches to decision making, a decision problem is described by a sets of states and set of outcomes, and a rich set of acts, which are functions from states to outcomes over which the decision maker (DM) has preferences. Most interesting decision problems, however, do not come with a state space and an outcome space.
