Bismuth nanosheets integrated with nitrogen‐doped carbon nanoleaves are constructed via a 2D‐on‐2D heterointerface engineering strategy. The resulting BiNS/NCL electrode delivers high chloride adsorption capacity, fast kinetics, and stable cyclability. A built‐in electric field at the heterointerface promotes chloride electrosorption and stabilizes the

The Saussurean sign revisited. Accounting for form-meaning mismatches in Construction Grammar
Since the early days of grammatical description, the relation between form and meaning in linguistic units and the nature of the linguistic primes have been hotly debated issues. F. de Saussure (1916/1995) defined the linguistic sign (i.e. an association

PlantGFM: A Genomic Foundation Model for Discovery and Creation of Plant Genes
A plant genomic foundation model pre‐trained on 12 species enables both accurate gene prediction and de novo gene design. Through AI‐human knowledge screening, seven designed sequences showed transcriptional activity in plants, with two expressing stable proteins—demonstrating the first DNA‐RNA‐protein expression of LLM‐generated genes in plants and ...

Explaining the Ditransitive Person-Role Constraint: A usage-based approach
In this paper, I propose a frequency-based explanation of the Ditransitive Person-Role Constraint, a cross-linguistic generalization that can be formulated as follows: “Combinations of bound pronouns with the roles Recipient and Theme are disfavored if ...

Thanks to the intensive research activities of a number of linguistic associations in several countries, among which Europhras has been playing a key role, the notion of phraseology is now used across a wide range of linguistic disciplines: phraseology ...

MiR‐940 Suppresses Ferroptosis by Controlling Expression of Key Regulatory Genes
A CRISPR‐based screening identified miR‐940 as a critical suppressor of ferroptosis in cancer. By coordinating the downregulation of pro‐ferroptotic genes with the upregulation of GPX4, miR‐940 establishes a regulatory network that protects against ferroptosis and correlates with poor clinical outcomes in distinct cancer entities.

From sign to construction: the Saussurean legacy and the constructionist approaches of grammar
The importance of Ferdinand de Saussure’s propositions, presented in the Course in General Linguistics (CLG), to the establishment of the basis of so-called Modern Linguistics is a consensus among linguists.

Most accounts of child language acquisition use as analytic tools adult-like syntactic categories and schemas (formal grammars) with little concern for whether they are psychologically real for young children.

Stem cell differentiation follows a conserved surface condensate trajectory: H3K27ac super enhancers nucleate large RNA polymerase II clusters that grow and unfold before transcriptional activity disperses them. This work reveals how biophysical forces at enhancer surfaces dynamically build and dismantle stem cell transcription hubs, reshaping cell ...
