Abstract This study aims to investigate the impact of lockdown and vaccination policies on business confidence in Europe, offering insights for future pandemic responses. Our research confirms that vaccination significantly boosts business confidence and mitigates the negative effects of lockdowns.

Sports CEOs and Corporate Innovation

ABSTRACT Using a hand‐collected data set, we find that firms led by CEOs who were student‐athletes in college exhibit significantly superior innovation outcomes, as measured by patent numbers, citation counts, and the economic value of patents. Evidence from CEO turnover analysis supports a CEO imprinting interpretation.

This study proposes a “new" consumer price index (CPI) and investigates the influence of Sweden's monetary policy on the new index level and its variations over time. Unlike the traditional CPI that the SCB uses, the "new" CPI tries to consider technology improvements by using macro data.
