The Effects of Consumer Education on Consumer Product Safety Behavior
Journal of Consumer Research, 1978Increasing the knowledge level of consumers with respect to safety principles has been suggested as one method of reducing the number of consumer product related injuries. This paper describes the results of a pilot study aimed at increasing consumer knowledge and presents a new methodology for analyzing the effects of such a program.
