A Study on Ball-Race Contact in Angular Contact Ball Bearing during Rotation [PDF]

open access: yes한국정밀공학회지, 2021
Angular contact ball bearings (ACBBs) are widely used in rotating machinery due to their heavy load-carrying capacity and excellent accuracy in high-speed operation.

Characterization of contact properties at interface between metal and graphene up to 15 GHz

open access: yesEngineering Reports, 2021
The contact properties between metal and monolayer chemical vapor deposition (CVD) graphene were investigated. Coplanar waveguides (CPWs) composed of CVD graphene‐based signal lines and Au‐based ground lines were fabricated.

Characterization of the Temperature Profile near Contact Lines of an Evaporating Sessile Drop

open access: yesEnergies, 2023
Evaporation of a sessile drop is ubiquitous in nature and has many industrial applications. Despite extensive studies over recent decades, a critical issue, i.e., how temperature varies near contact lines, remains elusive. In this work, we report to date

Effects of Magnetic Fields Around Contact Lines on Magnetometers

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
When a current of ~300 A flows through a contact line that supplies power to a high-speed train traveling at maximum speed, it forms a strong magnetic field.

Molecular Desorption by a Moving Contact Line

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2021
The interaction of the contact line with topographical or chemical defects at the nanometer scale sets the macroscopic wetting properties of a liquid on a solid substrate. Based on specific atomic force microscopy (AFM) experiments, we demonstrate that molecules physically sorbed on a surface are removed by a dynamic contact line.
