Testing of bus bar contact under non stationary current impacts
This research paper is devoted to the analysis of non-stationary temperature field near plane bus bar contact. The possibilities of temperature and contact quality estimation by dynamic sensor on the accessible bus bar surface are showed.

A numerical and experimental study on the factors that influence heat partitioning in disc brakes
YesTo investigate the heat partition on a vehicle disc brake, a small scale test rig with one contact interface was used. This allowed the disc/pad contact temperatures to be measured with fast-response foil thermocouples and a rubbing thermocouple ...

Contact-Electrification between Two Identical Materials: Curvature Effect
It is known that contact-electrification (or triboelectrification) usually occurs between two different materials, which could be explained by several models for different materials systems (Adv. Mater. 2018, 30, 1706790; Adv. Mater.

Mg–Zn composites with a thickness of 0.21 mm were fabricated using roll bonding of a kirigami‐patterned Mg alloy inlay within a Zn matrix. Thermal activation following this process led to the formation of tailored intermetallic structures, which provided the composite with enhanced flexural strength.

A simplified thermoplastic pultrusion model is developed to predict thermal fields in glass fiber/polyethylene terephthalate (GF/PET) composites with reduced computational cost. By combining effective material homogenization, validation against literature data, and Gaussian‐process‐based optimization, the study reveals how heating limits, pulling speed,

Phase Field Failure Modeling: Brittle‐Ductile Dual‐Phase Microstructures under Compressive Loading
The approach by Amor and the approach by Miehe and Zhang for asymmetric damage behavior in the phase field method for fracture are compared regarding their fitness for microcrack‐based failure modeling. The comparison is performed for the case of a dual‐phase microstructure with a brittle and a ductile constituent.
