Modeling of container freight and passenger traffic

open access: yesIOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science, 2019
Abstract International experience of demand and increase in container freight railway traffic has been analyzed. High-speed train traffic on the route Moscow – Nizhny Novgorod railway (Russia) has been actively developing since 2010, for instance, in some sections, the railway line has been modernized and new high-speed trains were put ...

Optimization of container traffic distribution on the railway network

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2022
The paper considers the problem of optimal redistribution of transit container flows on the railway network. The problem is proposed to be solved as the problem of a multi-commodity flow of minimum cost using the relaxation method. The relaxation method allows choosing the most efficient variant of the next solution at each iteration step.

Spatial and temporal dimensions of container traffic in Nigerian seaports

open access: yes, 2021
Generally speaking, cargo demand traffic forecasts are needed tools to rationalize the investment decisions in ports. However, little studies have been carried out in determining the magnitude of container cargo traffic at Nigerian ports, this creates a ...

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Measuring Container Port Complementarity and Substitutability with Automatic Identification System (AIS) Data - Studying the Inter-port Relationships in the Oslo Fjord Multi-port Gateway Region [PDF]

open access: yesTransNav, 2017
This paper considers the degree of competition among small and medium-sized container ports located in a multi-port gateway region. The level of port competition is evaluated by means of an analysis of the revealed preferences in the port-calling pattern

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative
