Phylogeny determined by protein domain content [PDF]
A simple classification scheme that uses only the presence or absence of a protein domain architecture has been used to determine the phylogeny of 174 complete genomes. The method correctly divides the 174 taxa into Archaea, Bacteria, and Eukarya and satisfactorily sorts most of the major groups within these superkingdoms.

Predicting protein function from domain content [PDF]
Abstract Motivation: Computational assignment of protein function may be the single most vital application of bioinformatics in the post-genome era. These assignments are made based on various protein features, where one is the presence of identifiable domains.

Disentangling Domain and Content
Many real-world datasets can be divided into groups according to certain salient features (e.g. grouping images by subject, grouping text by font, etc.). Often, machine learning tasks require that these features be represented separately from those manifesting independently of the grouping.

Collaboration Expertise in Medicine - No Evidence for Cross-Domain Application from a Memory Retrieval Study. [PDF]
Is there evidence for expertise on collaboration and, if so, is there evidence for cross-domain application? Recall of stimuli was used to measure so-called internal collaboration scripts of novices and experts in two studies.
