Content Extraction Signatures

2022
Motivated by emerging needs in online interactions, we define a new type of digital signature called a 'Content Extraction Signature' (CES). A CES allows the owner, Bob, of a document signed by Alice, to produce an 'extended signature' on selected extracted portions of the original document, which can be verified to originate from Alice by any third ...

A Hierarchical Extraction Policy for Content Extraction Signatures

2022
Content Extraction Signatures (CES), enable the selective extraction of verifiable content, from signed documents. Extending this ability, we introduce a new Hierarchical Grouping Extraction Policy that is more powerful and less costly than the existing Grouping Extraction Policy, and maps naturally onto the hierarchically structured documents commonly

Content Extraction Signatures using XML Digital Signatures and Custom Transforms On-Demand

2022
In this paper we describe our work in developing custom transform algorithms to expand the functionality of an XML Signature to include Content Extraction Signature functionality. This functionality includes extraction policy verification into the XML Signature Core Validation. Also included is a custom revocation mechanism.

A universal designated multi verifiers content extraction signature scheme

International Journal of Computational Science and Engineering, 2020
A notion combined the content extraction signature and the universal designated verifier signature was put forth by Lin in 2012. Specifically, it allows an extracted signature holder to designate the signature to a prospective verifier. However, existing designs become inefficient when multi verifiers are involved.
