Regional GPS receiver networks for monitoring local mid-latitude total electron content

open access: yesAnnals of Geophysics, 2002
Two regional GPS receiver networks from the Ordnance Survey U.K.(OS)and the Italian Space Agency (ASI) have been used for monitoring mid-latitude Total Electron Content (TEC)during quiet and disturbed ionospheric conditions in the current solar cycle.A ...

PARK(ing) time–How park deficiency affects the biological clock in a Drosophila model of Parkinson's disease

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Drosophila park mutants serve as a model for Parkinson's disease. We used this strain to investigate the connection between oxidative stress and the circadian clock mechanism. We showed that increased oxidative stress affects the physiology of pacemaker cells, disrupting their daily structural plasticity. Lack of rhythmic signaling from pacemaker cells

Evaluation of Soil Organic Carbon Changes on Key Monitoring Sites

open access: yesAgriculture
Monitoring of soil organic carbon (SOC) is a part of the Partial Monitoring system – Soil (ČM S-P). ČM S-P consists of two subsystems. One of them is a subsystem of the key monitoring sites (16) in sampling repetition every year.

Structural insights and therapeutic targets in Acinetobacter baumannii capsule biosynthesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Hypervirulent KL49 A. baumannii's capsular polysaccharide contains the nonulosonic acid 8‐epi‐Leg5,7Ac2, synthesized by epimerization via ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC. Crystal structures of ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC reveal their role in CMP‐Leg5,7Ac2 synthesis and regioselective C8 epimerization.

Spatiotemporal imaging of water content and monitoring of seepage hazards in embankments using electrical resistivity tomography method

open access: yesShuiwen dizhi gongcheng dizhi
Reliable detection and monitoring of seepage hazards in embankment dams remain challenging. Conventional approaches, such as drilling, are costly and provide only point-scale information, whereas geophysical methods often rely on indirect proxies that ...

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.
