Diagnosing Contextuality in a Topological Quantum Field Theory: a Toy Model

open access: yes
This paper synthesizes the previously developed modal contexts with quantum contextuality. We reformulate the Kochen-Specker theorem in terms of cobordisms. Finally, we provide a concrete example of a $(1+1)$-dimensional topological quantum field theory as a toy model.

Quantum-like cognition and AI toward the convergence of natural and artificial intelligence

open access: yesDiscover Artificial Intelligence
The gap between natural and artificial intelligence is often discussed in terms of creativity, contextual adaptability, and non-algorithmic decision-making capacities where human cognition appears fundamentally different from current AI systems.

Resource reallocation across successive systemic innovations: How Rolls‐Royce shaped the evolution of the turbojet, turboprop, and turbofan

open access: yesStrategic Management Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Research Summary Despite the importance of resource reallocation in shaping a variety of strategic outcomes, strategy scholars have paid only limited attention to the processes by which firms reallocate their resources across successive systemic innovations.

Surface Engineering of Ti3C2Tx MXenes via Silanol Functionalization for Improved Electrochemical Performance

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
This study explores the covalent functionalization of Ti3C2Tx using 5,5′‐bis(triisopropoxysilyl)‐2,2′‐bipyridine in different solvents, revealing that only m‐xylene enables effective covalent bonding, ensuring structural stability and preventing layer swelling.

Contingent Free Choice: On Extending Quantum Theory to a Contextual, Deterministic Theory With Improved Predictive Power

open access: yes, 2019
The non-extensibility of quantum theory into a theory with improved predictive power is based on a strong assumption of independent free choice, in which the physicists pick a measurement axis independently of anything that couldn't have been caused by their decision.

Contextual Observer variables in Quantum Measurement Theory

open access: yes
This work presents a formal extension of quantum measurement theory through the introduction of a contextual variable, denoted Δ, associated with observer-dependent basis selection. In standard quantum mechanics, the Born rule assigns probabilities to measurement outcomes under the assumption of observer-neutral measurement.

Approaching Gold‐Standard Sensitivity in a Portable and Versatile Gold Nanoprisms Thermoplasmonic Platform for Lateral Flow Detection of Biomolecules

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
This study presents a plasmonic thermal lateral flow (ThermoLFA) biosensor for ultrasensitive, early detection of biomolecules. By combining plasmonic gold nanoprisms (AuNPrs) and near‐infrared (NIR) laser activation, it enhances signal output beyond conventional LFAs.

Information Dynamics and Learning in Complex Adaptive Systems: Toward a Transdisciplinary Framework

open access: yesSystems Research and Behavioral Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This article develops a framework for understanding learning and adaptation in complex adaptive systems. Drawing from neuroscience, systems theory, information theory and quantum field theory, it examines how information processing, plasticity and systemic coherence emerge from distributed, nonlinear and feedback‐driven interactions. It argues

Systems‐Based Organisational Resilience Framework: A Delphi Study‐Based Validation and Verification

open access: yesSystems Research and Behavioral Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The increasing systemic complexity of the Fourth Industrial Revolution has heightened the need for robust approaches to organisational resilience. Despite its growing prominence, resilience research remains fragmented, with limited consensus on core dimensions, causal interdependencies and mechanisms suitable for dynamic assessment. This study

Entanglement and magic on the light-front

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics
In the light-front (LF) formulation of quantum field theory (QFT), physics is formulated from the perspective of a massless observer necessarily traveling at the speed of light. The LF formulation provides an alternative computational approach to lattice
