CXC Chemokine‐Driven Vascular Reprogramming: Modulating Tumor Vasculature to Boost Therapeutic Response

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Tumor vascular remodeling is discussed from a chemokine‐centered perspective. This review summarizes the bidirectional, temporal, and tissue‐specific roles of CXC chemokines in regulating vascular function and immune accessibility. A functional vascular normalization score is introduced as a conceptual framework to integrate dynamic vascular and immune

Valuation on the Frontier: Calibrating Actual and Hypothetical Statements of Value [PDF]

open access: yes
The lack of robust evidence showing that hypothetical behavior directly maps into real actions remains a major concern for proponents of stated preference nonmarket valuation techniques. This article explores a new statistical approach to link actual and

Enhanced Photocatalytic Wastewater Purification and Bacterial Elimination via Copper Ion Irradiation‐Induced Modification of BiOCl

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents a copper ion irradiation method to achieve the modification function of BiOCl. By using high‐energy ion beams to introduce impurity ions inside the material, the intrinsic electric field of BiOCl is optimized, promoting the separation of photogenerated carriers and enhancing the photocatalytic activity.

Contingent Valuation of Competing Public Sector Programmes: An Experiment of Single versus Joint Evaluation [PDF]

open access: yes
In this paper, we compare single and joint evaluation (JE) of competing public sector programmes in a contingent valuation exercise. Using survey data aimed at evaluating WTP for cancer interventions (n = 2628), we disantangle two types of effects of JE:

Dorsal Raphe VIP Neurons Are Critical for Survival‐Oriented Vigilance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
DRNVIP neurons in mice and primates are strategically positioned to influence the central extended amygdala via feedback loops. They regulate the excitability of PKC‐δ neurons in the ovBNST and CeA through glutamate release. Their ablation heightens activity in these regions, disrupts active‐phase sleep architecture, enhances risk assessment behaviors ...
