The author studies Hurwitz sequences, obtained by the Farey process, and continued fractions, i.e. fractions \[ [b_0;a_1/b_1,a_2/b_2,\ldots] = b_0+\frac{a_1}{b_1+}\frac{a_2}{b_2+}\ldots \] for which \(a_i\) and \(b_i\) are integers; \(b_i>0\) and \(| a_i| =1\) for \(i=1,2,\ldots\).
