Exceptional Antimodes in Multi‐Drive Cavity Magnonics

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Driven‐dissipative cavity‐magnonics provides a flexible platform for engineering non‐Hermitian physics such as exceptional points. Here, using a four‐port, three‐mode system with controllable microwave interference, antimodes and coherent perfect extinction (CPE) are realized, enabling active tuning to antimode exceptional points.

The Geography of Success: A Spatial Analysis of Export Intensity in the Italian Wine Industry

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper investigates the paradox of how Italy's fragmented, SME‐dominated wine industry achieves global export success. Moving beyond purely firm‐centric explanations, we test whether export intensity is spatially dependent, clustering geographically in regional ecosystems.

AI in chemical engineering: From promise to practice

open access: yesAIChE Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Artificial intelligence (AI) in chemical engineering has moved from promise to practice: physics‐aware (gray‐box) models are gaining traction, reinforcement learning complements model predictive control (MPC), and generative AI powers documentation, digitization, and safety workflows.

Bounded Optimal Exploration in MDP

open access: yes, 2016
Within the framework of probably approximately correct Markov decision processes (PAC-MDP), much theoretical work has focused on methods to attain near optimality after a relatively long period of learning and exploration.

Computational study of permeability in cardboard coating layers

open access: yesAIChE Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract We develop a virtual material structure model based on a combination of tessellations and Gaussian random fields for a coating layer of paperboard used for packaging and designed to facilitate printing on the surface. To fit the model to tomographic image data acquired using combined focused ion beam and scanning electron microscopy (FIB‐SEM),

An Improved Reinforcement Learning Method Based on Unsupervised Learning

open access: yesIEEE Access
The approach of directly combining clustering method and reinforcement learning (RL) will lead to encounter the issue where states may have different state transition processes under the same action, resulting in poor policy performance.

Advanced Experiment Design Strategies for Drug Development

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
Wang et al. analyze 592 drug development studies published between 2020 and 2024 that applied design of experiments methodologies. The review surveys both classical and emerging approaches—including Bayesian optimization and active learning—and identifies a critical gap between advanced experimental strategies and their practical adoption in ...
