Continuous wave thz spectroscopy to quantify glucose in liquids [PDF]

open access: yes
A method for quantitative detection of glucose in a liquid sample using continuous wave (CW) Terahertz (THz) spectroscopy such as THz cross-correlation spectroscopy (CCS) or THz frequency domain spectroscopy (FDS) in an attenuated total reflection (ATR) setup is disclosed.

Large‐Area 2D Metasurface‐Based Triboelectric E‐Skin Arrays: Contact & Proximity Tactile Mapping with Broadband Acoustic Readouts

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Metasurface‐engineered NC‐TENG arrays integrate tactile pressure mapping, non‐contact gesture sensing, and acoustic signal readouts in one ultrathin module, and outperforms pristine PDMS in terms of electrical output and real‐time spatial mapping for next‐gen wearables.

All‐Optical Reconfigurable Physical Unclonable Function for Sustainable Security

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
An all‐optical reconfigurable physical unclonable function (PUF) is demonstrated using plasmonic coupling–induced sintering of optically trapped gold nanoparticles, where Brownian motion serves as a robust entropy source. The resulting optical PUF exhibits high encoding density, strong resistance to modeling attacks, and practical authentication ...

Rethinking Charge Transport and Recombination in Donor‐Diluted Organic Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Organic solar cells with 1–45% PM6 content in Y12 were studied to link structure and charge dynamics to performance. The conductivity follows a 3D percolation model without a sharp threshold. Donor dilution preserves the photogeneration yield, but limits the fill factor due to transport resistance losses.

Impedance spectroscopy for cellular and biomolecular analysis

open access: yes, 2009
The application of microfabrication technology to molecular and cell biology has motivated the rapid development of a novel class of microdevices collectively known as ‘Lab On a Chip’ devices.Impedance spectroscopy is a non-invasive, label-free ...

Efficient fiber-laser pumped Ho:LuLiF4 laser

open access: yes
We present results for an efficient Ho:LuLiF4 laser in-band pumped by a cladding-pumped Tm-doped silica fiber laser. The polarized, tunable Tm-doped silica fiber-laser operates at 1938 nm, ideally suited for in-band pumping the 40 mm long weakly-doped (0.
