WIRELESS DISTRIBUTED ACQUISITION SYSTEM FOR NEAR INFRARED SPECTROSCOPY – WDA-NIRS [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Innovative Optical Health Sciences, 2013
The wireless distributed acquisition system for near infrared spectroscopy (WDA-NIRS) is a portable, ultra-compact, continuous wave (CW) NIRS system. Its main advantage is that it allows continuous synchronized multi-site hemodynamic monitoring.

Coherent transient spectroscopy with continuous wave quantum cascade lasers

open access: yesPhysical Chemistry Chemical Physics, 2013
A high power continuous wave quantum cascade laser operating around 1900 cm(-1) has been used to conduct Lamb dip spectroscopy on a low pressure sample of NO. The widths of the Lamb dips indicate that the laser linewidth is 800 ± 60 kHz and the power sufficient to induce significant population transfer of up to 35%.

High-Frequency Modulation Spectroscopy with a THz Quantum-Cascade Laser

open access: yes, 2013
A terahertz absorption spectrometer with a quantum-cascade laser (QCL) for high-resolution molecular spectroscopy is realized. The spectrometer is based on highfrequency (up to 50 MHz) modulation of the QCL frequency.

Quartz Enhanced Photoacoustic Spectroscopy Based Trace Gas Sensors Using Different Quartz Tuning Forks

open access: yesSensors, 2015
A sensitive trace gas sensor platform based on quartz-enhanced photoacoustic spectroscopy (QEPAS) is reported. A 1.395 μm continuous wave (CW), distributed feedback pigtailed diode laser was used as the excitation source and H2O was selected as the ...

Homodyne Spectroscopy with Broadband Terahertz Power Detector Based on 90-nm Silicon CMOS Transistor

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2021
Over the last two decades, photomixer-based continuous wave systems developed into versatile and practical tools for terahertz (THz) spectroscopy. The high responsivity to the THz field amplitude of photomixer-based systems is predetermined by the ...

Continuous wave and modelocked femtosecond novel bulk glass lasers operating around 2000 nm

open access: yes, 2011
This thesis reports on the development of glass-based femtosecond laser sources around 2 µm wavelength. In order to be able to produce 2 µm radiation the dopants used were trivalent Thulium (Tm³⁺) and trivalent Holmium (Ho³⁺) that could be optically ...
