ABSTRACT Background Cognitive impairment is a common non‐motor symptom in Multiple Sclerosis (MS), negatively affecting autonomy and Quality of Life (QoL). Innovative rehabilitation strategies, such as semi‐immersive virtual reality (VR) and computerized cognitive training (CCT), may offer advantages over traditional cognitive rehabilitation (TCR ...

Perfect Control for Continuous-Time LTI State-Space Systems: The Nonzero Reference Case Study
In this paper an innovative study concerning the perfect control algorithm is presented. This particular control strategy has already been developed for continuous- and discrete-time transfer-function-originated plants, as well as discrete-time state ...

Laser Powder Bed Fusion of Alumina: Effects of Scanning Strategies on External and Internal Defects
This study investigates how scanning strategies affect pure alumina in laser powder bed fusion. Linear 45° scanning yields uniform surfaces but high porosity, while the island‐concentric strategy provides higher density with through‐holes favorable for infiltration. Findings highlight pathways toward optimizing defect‐free alumina parts.

Comparison between continuous and discrete doses for model based designs in cancer dose finding.
Despite of an extensive statistical literature showing that discretizing continuous variables results in substantial loss of information, categorization of continuous variables has been a common practice in clinical research and in cancer dose finding ...

Discrete Additive Weibull Geometric Distribution
Discretizing a continuous distribution has received much attention among researchers recently. Discrete analogue of the well-known continuous distributions such as Normal, Exponential, Weibull, Laplace, Rayleigh, and so on, are available in the ...

The definition and nature of information have perplexed scientists due to its dual nature in measurements. The information is discrete and continuous when evaluated on a metric scale, and the Laplace-Beltrami operator and Gauss-Bonnet Theorem can map one

A numerical–experimental framework is developed for characterizing multi‐matrix fiber‐reinforced polymers (MM‐FRPs) combining epoxy and polyurethane matrices. Harmonic bending tests are integrated with finite element model updating (FEMU) to simultaneously identify elastic and viscoelastic material parameters.

New features on yttria‐stabilized zirconia after exposure at 1500°C: Newly discovered pyramidal structures on an old material. After exposure at 1550°C on the cross section of YSZ new features, namely pyramidal structures are discovered. These structures grow with time, increase in numbers, appear as singularities, are often arranged in strings, and ...

A unified research data management framework for heterogeneous materials data is presented. The system integrates multimodal datasets using ontologies and knowledge graphs, enabling interoperability and FAIR (findable, accessible, interoperable, reusable) data principles. By linking data across scales and workflows, it supports reproducible, Artifitial
