Experimental Research of Continuous Concrete Beams with GFRP Reinforcement
Continuous beams are often used within RC structures, which are exposed to aggressive environmental impact. The use of the fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) reinforcement in these objects and environments has a big significance, taking into account tendency

Quantum interference of ultrastable twin optical beams
We report the first measurement of the quantum phase-difference noise of an ultrastable nondegenerate optical parametric oscillator that emits twin beams classically phase-locked at exact frequency degeneracy.

Generation of continuous variable Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen entanglement via the Kerr nonlinearity in an optical fiber [PDF]
We report on the generation of a continuous variable Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen (EPR) entanglement using an optical fiber interferometer. The Kerr nonlinearity in the fiber is exploited for the generation of two independent squeezed beams.

This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

Entanglement Rate for Gaussian Continuous Variable Beams [PDF]
We derive a general expression that quantifies the total entanglement production rate in continuous variable systems, where a source emits two entangled Gaussian beams with arbitrary correlators. This expression is especially useful for situations where ...

Plastic design of hot-finished high strength steel continuous beams
High strength steels (HSS) are increasingly used in structural engineering applications owing to their high strength to weight ratio. Due to the inferior ductility and strain-hardening characteristics of HSS and the lack of relevant structural ...

A multibeam atom laser: coherent atom beam splitting from a single far detuned laser
We report the experimental realisation of a multibeam atom laser. A single continuous atom laser is outcoupled from a Bose-Einstein condensate (BEC) via an optical Raman transition.
