Continuous Dependence on the Forchheimer Coefficient of the Forchheimer Fluid Interfacing with a Darcy Fluid [PDF]

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2020
The continuous dependence of the two fluids which interface with each other in a bounded domain is derived. It is first shown how to establish the a priori results for the solutions for the flow in a bounded domain occupied by a viscous fluid in contact with a porous solid.

Quantifying the concentration dependence of sedimentation coefficients for globular macromolecules: a continuing age-old problem [PDF]

open access: yesBiophysical Reviews, 2021
AbstractThis retrospective investigation has established that the early theoretical attempts to directly incorporate the consequences of radial dilution into expressions for variation of the sedimentation coefficient as a function of the loading concentration in sedimentation velocity experiments require concentration distributions exhibiting far ...

PHYSICOMATHEMATICAL MODEL OF CALCULATING CONTINUOUS BEAMS WITH ELASTIC YIELDING SUPPORTS

open access: yesВестник КазНУ. Серия математика, механика, информатика, 2022
In this work there has been studied the rod system operation dependence on the action ofexternal force effects. The system presents a multi-span continuous beam with elastic yieldingsupports.

Transit time spectrum dependence upon ultrasound input wave types propagating through complex structures

open access: yesJournal of Umm Al-Qura University for Medical Science, 2023
Background: Ultrasound transit time spectroscopy (UTTS) has been introduced previously to characterize the propagation of ultrasound waves through complex structures such as cancellous bone to estimate bone quality and quantity.

An initial boundary value problem for a partial differential equation of higher even order with a Bessel operator [PDF]

open access: yesVestnik Samarskogo Gosudarstvennogo Tehničeskogo Universiteta. Seriâ: Fiziko-Matematičeskie Nauki, 2022
In present paper, an initial-boundary value problem is formulated in a rectangle for a higher even order partial differential equation with the Bessel operator.

Continuous dependence of solutions in magneto-elasticity theory

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2003
We prove continuous dependence on the intensity coefficient and continuous dependence on the external data in the theory of magneto-elasticity. We do not require the Lamé coefficients to be positive.

Cauchy problems and invariant measures for one stochastic functional-differential equation

open access: yesНауковий вісник Ужгородського університету. Серія: Математика і інформатика, 2019
We deal with Cauchy problem for one stochastic functional-differential equation. We study the existence, uniqueness and continuous dependence on initial function of so-called mild solution to this problem.

Review of drag coefficients on gas – liquid tower: the drag coefficient independent and dependent on bubble diameter in bubble column experiment [PDF]

open access: yesChemical Review and Letters, 2019
Drag coefficient independent on bubble diameter is required to ease design sieve trays or bubble column, through simulation of computational fluid dynamic.

Spatial decay estimates for a class of nonlinear damped hyperbolic equations

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2001
This paper is concerned with investigating the spatial decay estimates for a class of nonlinear damped hyperbolic equations. In addition, we compare the solutions of two-dimensional wave equations with different damped coefficients and establish an ...

Marginalized Two-Part Joint Modeling of Longitudinal Semi-Continuous Responses and Survival Data: With Application to Medical Costs

open access: yesMathematics, 2021
Non-negative continuous outcomes with a substantial number of zero values and incomplete longitudinal follow-up are quite common in medical costs data.
