CONTINUOUS EXTENSIONS ARE NOT HÖLDER
International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, 2004Let Q denote a quadratic polynomial and A∞ the super-attracting basin of Q at the point ∞ on the Riemann sphere [Formula: see text]. There exists a unique Riemann mapping Φ from the open disk [Formula: see text] onto A∞ such that Φ(∞)=∞, Φ'(∞)=1 and Φ-1 conjugates Q:A∞→A∞ to the squaring map S:D→D:z↦z2.

Continuous Extensions On Euclidean Combinatorial Configurations
Buletinul Academiei de Ştiinţe a Republicii Moldova. Matematica, 2022In this paper, we introduce a concept of the Euclidean combinatorial configuration as a mapping of a set of certain objects into a point of Euclidean space. We classify Euclidean combinatorial configurations sets based on their structure and constraints.

Extensions for Continuous Pattern Mining
2011In this paper we present extensions for continuous pattern mining. Our previous continuous pattern mining algorithm mines the set of all frequent sequences satisfying the minSup condition. However, those sequences contain an explosive number of frequent subsequences, which makes the analysis and understanding of patterns very diaecult.

Extensions of Continuous and Lipschitz Functions
Canadian Mathematical Bulletin, 2000AbstractWe show a result slightly more general than the following. Let K be a compact Hausdorff space, F a closed subset of K, and d a lower semi-continuous metric on K. Then each continuous function ƒ on F which is Lipschitz in d admits a continuous extension on K which is Lipschitz in d. The extension has the same supremum norm and the same Lipschitz

BPMN Extensions for Modeling Continuous Processes
2021Business process management has focused on discrete processes so far, i.e., processes with identifiable distinct outcomes (e.g., in manufacturing). By contrast, processes known from process and control engineering, e.g., chemical synthesis, have not been fully considered yet. Such processes can be discrete or continuous, i.e., require real-time control

On Extension and Continuity ofp-Additive Functions
Mathematische Nachrichten, 2000Let \(X_1,X_2,\dots, X_p\), \(Z\) be real vector spaces and let \(C_1,C_2,\dots, C_p\) be convex cones in \(X_1,X_2,\dots\), \(X_p\), respectively. The family of all nonempty subsets of \(Z\) is denoted by \(n(Z)\). If \(f: C_1\times C_2\times\cdots\times C_p\to Z\) is a \(p\)-additive function, then there exists its \(p\)-additive extension ...

The extension of continuous maps
Russian Mathematical Surveys, 1986The author proves the following theorem: Let (X',\(\tau\) '), \((X_ 1,\tau_ 1)\), \((X_ 2,\tau_ 2)\) be \(T_ 1\)-topological spaces, \((X_ 1,\tau_ 1)\) be a subspace of (X',\(\tau\) '), \(\bar X{}^{\tau '}=X'\), \((X_ 2,\tau_ 2)\) satisfy the property qR. Then any continuous mapping \(f: (X_ 1,\tau_ 1)\to (X_ 2,\tau_ 2)\) has a continuous extension on (

Continuous extensions of Rosenbrock-type methods
Computing, 1990Solving the initial value problem for ordinary differential equations by a one-step method gives, in general, only discrete approximations at the grid points. For various applications these discrete values are not sufficient. One should have instead a so-called dense output (continuous extension): a numerical solution defined for each x belonging to ...
